BDL - Concourse hell
As a long time BDL user who no longer lives in Connecticut I've witnessed many changes at Bradley International [finally, trans-Atlantic service is coming] Airport. But now, those of us who fly either US or UA are utilizing one of the sparest of terminals. The passageway that used to connect the old from the new has been sealed shut. So, if you're flying on UA or US you can't get to the new terminal and the admittedly scarce shopping/eating options. Any nutmeggers care to share what the plan is here?

Who knows....I'd like to know why they closed that hallway down too.
Another question that comes to mind...what's NW going to do without a WorldClub once they start the service to AMS?

I can only assume they're going to utilize the space I believe used to be the Delta Crown Room.

CRC used to be before security, but that was over in Terminal B (where the AA gates currently are). Since DL moved to the new terminal a few years ago, they haven't had a CRC over there. Doubt NW would use the old CRC space, since it's very inconvinient for the NW gates.

I flew into BDL on NW today. A CRC or WC would be nice since DL, NW and CO all use the same terminal and wing, but I didn't see anywhere they could put a club.
Unless there is space on the 2nd floor above where the food court is just after security.

Upon further reflection, they'll probably pay US to use their club.

Besides, US clubs suck. No free booze, No free WiFi, and the only "snack" is mini pretzels. Why bother?

I'm going to bounce around and try to comment on all of the above posts
As a UA Red Carpet Club member -- I'm used to the lack of amenities, but I will say this, there really isn't a need for WiFi at BDL, because they provide it for free.
As far as cutting from the new terminal, I will say that does suck, however, I would venture 99% of us are originating and terminating in BDL and since we're not using it to transit I'm not overly upset about it. Most nutmeggers I know arrive just before their flight and don't spend much time hanging out at the airport.
If and when (still a bit skeptical it'll really happen) our transatlantic flights do begin, and potentially people will be connecting through BDL (which is a funny thought) they really will need to open up between terminals.
I hadn't even noticed it was closed, I think a year or so ago I got some good fruit smoothies a couple of times....mmmm smoothies. Darn it, I'm going to BDL in a couple of hours and now I'm pissed I can't get to them.
