It showed A4 as "4DR ALL-WHEEL DRIVE QUATTRO SEDAN" on my rental agreement, I wonder if that's why they say A3 and A4 are the same class?
the key is the car class designation on the email pdf receipt and pdf rental agreement (not what the app says). There is a distinction between the A3 and A4 on that part. However its also common sense like Audi clearly has two different models in different segments and you have agents claiming the A3 is the same as an A4 even after you tell them its not and to check the bar code sticker and computer got offered a $3 compensation for this downgrade and the agent tried to claim it is not a downgrade and if anything its an upgrade
I recently got told at the same branch a Q3 is the same as a Q5 even after the manager claimed he made sure agents knew the car classes moving forward
General answer which cars are in this class suffice.
I'm glad you posted in the "Cars at LAS" thread since it's updated quite frequently and the members there can give you a better response, but generally Standard SUV is like a Ford Edge, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Toyota Highlander, or Hyundai Palisade.
