Does anyone have any idea when is the earliest I can match AA EXP to CO and get it to expire in 2007, not 2006? I want it now for some flights I need to take, but I can't fly enough miles to requalify in the balance of 2005, as I am already trying to requalify on 4 other airlines this year!

Hyatt advised that they only status match: Hilton, Marriott, SPG.
Does anyone know who status matches: Priority?

You'd probably have to get the match in August at the earliest.

Isn' there a general practice that after 7/1 of the year the higher status goes not to the following year, but the year after( in this case 2007)?

UA matched my AA Plat in about a week after I faxed in my statement. It took about 2 months before I got the pack in the mail, but the new status was reflected on the website in a week.

No, but the three airlines I have ever had status with (all non-US based ones) have an only-drop-one-level policy, even if you don't fly - SAA, BMI and Qantas. I.e. on all of them, if you are Gold you will drop no lower than Silver the next year, even if you don't step on a plane.

Of the 43 flights, turns out, 3 were on AF, 4 on NW and 36 on DL.

I was wondering:

1. Would it be worth asking DL to match my F+ / FB status on Skymiles?
2. If so, would DL match my Platinum status?

I have read that DL won't match platinum status, but it's worth considering that I got the F+ / FB status by flying on DL in the first place!

You effort in trying this will not be worth cos DL won't match Af status and any other SkyTeam status since they are under one alliance. I am quite surpised it took you up to 36 segments on DL to realize you should have had DL Elite status.

Hi Guys,

Just got a quick question re status match. I have seen alot of status match opportunities between non-star alliance carriers to *A carriers, but not the other way round. Does anybody know any airline which will happily status match BD gold to their equivalent tier?

A majorty of my travel is in C, and mainly to the states with the odd few european trips in between. Any suggestions or info would be appreciated.

North American *A

Hi guys.

Any idea if any of the North American *A carriers will comp./match me status (I am a QF Platinum [OW Emerald, top tier]) ?

Is the "Air Canada don't comp./match" rule still accurate ?

What about UA or US ?

Probably:Hilton, Marriott, SPG and Priority.

Next year 2006 SAA will become part of Star Alliance so you won't have a problem using your USAIR card on SAA. They were scheduled to join this year but United told me that they had to first get a new computer system which is used by Star Alliance members.

Help with VS & BD Gold

I am currently a VS and BD gold member, and would like to get a status match on UA and AA. Could you advise what they may match to, and how to go about applying for the match from start to finish? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

Miles

Does anyone know if this is indeed the case?
I am particularly interested in UA matching my AA PLT.
Thanks!
