Hi to all from a newbie. This is a two fold question, I am now retired with plenty of time on my hands. My wife and I want to visit NZ and Australia during the September to October timeframe. I have nearly 800K Sky Miles with Delta but they do not have any direct flights to NZ or Aussie.
Question: can I trade any of my miles with a United party to go business class to either as a start. Would like to go LAX-AKL-BNE-LAX
Second question: what is the best routing that we can go if we want to utilize the Delta Sky Miles for two ATW tickets.Appreciate any and all help.

Good news - you can use your Delta miles for travel to Australia/New Zealand. This is an award using KE (Korean Air). A first class ticket is 200k, biz clas 150k, coach 100. http://www.delta.com/skymiles/use/sk...t_us/index.jsp

The Milesbuzz! forum is for posting information related to the latest frequent flyer program buzz.
With regar to trades, there is a forum here called coupon connection where such deals can take place. But be warned, "bartering" is against the rules of almost every frequent flyer program, and if caught they could seize your account.
As USCGamecock said above, there is an award on Korean Air to NZ.
