Buzz?
Anyway, since you haven't told us the cost of the Amex 2:1, how would we know which the better value?
But two first class tix from AUS-JFK @ 45k each (minimum), plus one upper class ticket on VS (80k?) plus $3100 strikes me as an awful lot to spend to get two people from AUS-LHR.

I assume the stopover is important here. Can't you do two J awards AUS-LHR with a stopover in the NYC area?
What levels of mileage do you have and in which programs?
(A key benefit with FF awards in many programs is that a stopover is allowed. This could be of great benefit to you in this case.)

Actually no the stopover is not important.
CO will not allow me to find an affordable reward to London so I also have a Virgin account which will alow me to be able to use my miles:
I am not elite in either
I have about 100,000 in two accounts with CO
and 100,000 with Virgin
By my calculations I can fly free to JFK on CO then one free to London on Virgin and purchase a Virgin ticket.
Thanks for the help
