Thanks, but I broke down and got the book on Amazon Kindle to read on the road. Couldn't wait for the movie!

We are not worthy!
We need a bowing and genuflecting icon.:D
I love this stuff!

Saw the movie on Friday night. I liked it. Definitely not as much as emphasis on the wallet candy (other than one scene), but more on the mindset of the road warrior and how that affects one's relationships.

Oscar-worthy? Maybe.

I'll say 4 out of 5 stars.

Saw it last night and I agree with dkelly1110. Although I have to say, that silver 10 million miler card with the eagle logo on it was pretty damn cool ;)

Finally saw it myself. An outstanding movie, but not enough on the FF stuff, I agree.
As for everything else, well, that might be one of the best analysis of the state of America today. I especially loved the statements from Natalie (I'm 23, I should have a grand cherokee by now) and the groom (get married, get kids, then spring break, etc.).

Good to know they completely gutted the book. I picked it up this weekend to read on a TATL flight and had to give up halfway through. The main character is annoying and the plot line is silly.

Looking forward to seeing the movie, however!

And imagine, a personalized contact-us number.

FlyerTalker movie? I'm curious about the buzz and about the claim of it being "the FlyerTalker movie."

I've read the reviews and by all account the movie primarily about corporate down sizing (guy travelling the country to fire people). The air travel aspect is secondary at best and featured by default as has been in many movies in the past.

Can anyone that has actually seen it chime in? The vibe I get is it's one of those "wait til it comes out on DVD."

There are some moments embedded within the film that only a FFer would understand ;) so I would say watch it with another traveler- so you are not laughing alone :o :p

I personally saw a screening at the Maui Film Festival's First Light on the Nov 27th

This is good to explain to people why I do some things.

The book had a lot more FF references than the movie, but I liked the movie too.
