I understand they are your average *A carrier in terms of earning/burning miles. No perks there - http://en.aegeanair.com/milesandbonu...?code=nolimits.

Not great if you are after free flights, but absolutely awesome for those who do most of their flights with a different alliance but would still like to maintain a status with *A to keep their options open.

It's also worth noting that for UA or US fliers who are looking for a "cheap" lounge access option, the cheaper buckets on UA (TLSKW) only earn 50%. All buckets on US earn 100%. The latter is handy when the UA-metal codeshare booked on US is significantly cheaper.

I asked them, but no luck this time:cool:

How did you do so? Email? Fax?

LAN told me that they would match as follows:

CO OnePass Gold Elite = LAN Premium Silver
CO OnePass Platinum = LAN Comodoro
VS flying club Gold = LAN Comodoro
bmi DC Gold = Probably Comodoro with a lot of milage...

Everytime it seems to need a lot of milage for the match to really happen. Any addition to this list or information?

Do you have an e-mail address for LAN to do this? Many thanks.

Delta Gold Match POssibility?

I will be CO gold the end of the year

I recently moved from a city with a CO hub to a city that is a Delta Hub. I am currently Delta silver, but once I now have CO Gold it will be pretty useless based on where I live now?

Do you think i'll have a chance to get Delta to Match a CO Gold? How should I go about the request.

Thanks

Anyone have any idea about this - ?

I am FB Plat, and although I don't fly as much as I used to, I've held on to my Plat for the last 4-5 years. I see CO is matching status, and now that they are *A, it is an interesting prospect. How easy is it to get *A status, and what will they match in terms of alliance-wide level (*G or *S)?

Thanks.

Welcome to FT!
CO and DL are actively matching/poaching each other's elites, so you should be able to get DL Gold.
Post #1 of this thread has scoop for each airline. For DL...

Will match status, generally to equivalent level up to Gold (mid-tier)
Fax a copy of your current elite statement or elite card to:
Delta Skymiles Service Center
Attn: Elite Status Match
Fax: 404-773-1945

I'm sure it is in here somewhere, but I've tried searching and can't seem to find it. Can someone please tell me where to find the status matching instructions for Air New Zealand. I am registered for Airpoints and want to match from DL Platinum. Will this work?

Thanks!

Delta matching AA Platinum?

Is Delta matching AA Platinum? I faxed over a letter and my card about 2 weeks ago, still nothing.

My wife and I were just given status matches with CO but when we got our cards yesterday they both said only through 2/2011. I assumed a match in October would be good through 2/2012. Anyone else have this happen and, if so, was it possible to get it extended to 2/2012 in order to have a reasonable chance to maintain CO status? If possible, who should we call/email?

If we do a Elite Status Match with airlines this year, then do we keep the status upto end of next year or upto decmeber of this year?

The new cards for 2/2012 will be sent out early next year. You will receive yours then
