Thanks for all the information.
I just called Citibank to the phone number posted on previous messages and I asked for the 10,000 AA miles and the Fee waved for the first year offer; and Citibank said that the offer is still on. Although, the Rep. did ask for the promotion code, all i said to him was that i didnt have it with me.
He then asked for my zip code and said that he could give me the offer. The Rep. only then asked for my business info., address, AA account, etc.
You gotta give it a shot!</font>

I got mine about 2.5 weeks after applying and have already made my first few purchases. We'll see when the miles post, but with previous Citi experience it should be pretty quick. Glad to hear everyone else is able to get the fee waived as well w/o a promotion code.
Happy flying & buying.

Has anyone actually gotten this card sent to them yet, or have they just applied? The agent may just be taking application info and then they'll run your credit check and approve or deny you.</font>

Shot down at 800 451 3113 which answers "CitiBank Card application center"; supposedly didnt know about any default offer and wouldnt waive the annual fee. At 800 285 8998 which answered "CitiBank Aadvantage Application Center", they couldnt tell if I had received the mail app with a 10 digit code; they then offered the default offer. Just said I either saw in mail and/or say ad on TV.

I just took AAdvantage of this offer by calling the 2nd 800 # in the above post. I was offered the default offer.
Everything seemed to go smoothly. I hope to get the card in 4 weeks and 10,000 miles after my first purchase.

well, i called the 800-285-8998 number, asked about the offer, and was told that i should call 800-988-7755 for that. so i called that number, where i was basically shot down. offered 10K bonus miles but no first year waiver on the annual fee. told them i saw it on TV but the CSR said she had never heard of that offer. any other suggestions?

I also just tried this and got the deafult offer of no fee for the first year and the 10,000 mile bonus. Although, I am neither self employed nor a sole proprietor and am now wondering if it will work with my made up information. A co-worker (jokingly) accused me of credit fraud. Should I call and cancel before I get in a big mess?</font>

Applying for a credit card (be it a business card or a personal card) with made-up information is a fraudulent application! - this is true even if you then use the card and pay your bills. This is probably illegal (not a lawyer - couldn't quote a specific statute) but certainly immoral.
OK, off my high horse.

Oh boy! I've called couple of times, different numbers and ... NO GO!
The annual fee cannot be waived. The story about TV or mail or radio did not work at all.
I'm going to try in the morning. This 3rd shift is very stubborn

Then give your real information. Anybody can have a sole-proprietorship (e.g., all the "consultants" running around N. California right now), with your real income, etc., as I did. And you don't have to worry about the 1/1000000000000000th chance of Citibank coming after you

Here is the right number to call for the
AA Mastercard offer....
Call 1-800-285-8998...
Citi AA Master Business Card.....
10,000 AA Miles first year, fee free.
They'll ask you for a code, but you can say that you dont have it at hand, then, they'll ask for your name and zip code; when they cannot find any record of you being ever contacted for the promo, you'll just say that maybe they mispelled your name. Then, they'll go ahead and offer you the "default offer" which is the 10,000 AA miles and the 1st year fee free..
It worked for me..
If you call the other 800 numbers previously listed, they WILL NOT waive the fee for the first year.
