It seems like we are losing the FF community spirit we once had and that some posters will flame anyone or anything without just cause.

Let's return to the Friendly Frequent Flyer Community Board

Randy, so what happend to the ballots that did NOT have an e-mail address. I voted on the Freddie site WITHOUT giving my e-mail, and the site said that my vote was counted.

Randy, can you please explain? Did my vote count?

At this point, I'll have to accept your word on this and hope you are being very sincere, however, I just had my tech guys do a complete review of all scripting of the Freddie Awards balloting engine and they tell me that it was not possible for you to have voted without an email address entry. If by accident, you entered an invalid email adddress, your validation would have been bumped back and then of course your vote not have counted as you weren't able to validate it. Again, I'll accept your word on this but the actual process seems to indicate it was not possible. By any chance, were you mistaken and possible have voted after an error message came up and the process did work? Give it some thought, because there is definitely a division here on what seems possible and what is not possible.

Thanks for your efforts to review what might have happened on your end.

We live in a world with instant everything. I was on a flight today and it took a few minutes to open the door when we landed. The complaints started and got nasty very fast.
Randy, keep up the good work that you do and let the griper's wine, roll off your back.

Randy,

Thanks for the follow-up. If you would look at the following two threads in the COntinental forum, you can see what unnerved so many people, and perhaps you can directly address their comments and feelings.

Randy, thanks for clearing the air. As I said in my previous post, people on this board should exhibit a little patience and take a chill pill, when you don't respond to posts in what they consider a timely fashion. Yes Virginia, Randy has a life also.

One suggestion for next years Freddies. How about a categories for large airlines and another for small-medium sized airlines. The majors have a far more difficult task in satisfying the millions of elites that fly them. That combined with the huge overhead that they carry as a cost of doing business puts them at a disadvantage to smaller airlines. The Academy Awards has categories for best short films and you could have them for best small-medium sized airlines in the various areas that we vote in.

When I voted I never received back from anyone an E-Mail to verify my vote ? How come ? Does this mean my vote did not count? If a verification E-Mail was to be sent, don't you think that at the end of the ballot this should have been mentioned. I know a lot of people delete E-Mails from unknown senders!

FYI, I received a personal email from Randy stating that he might be unable to communicate for a few days.
