US-Argentina routes still going?
Are any US carriers still flying to Argentina?
What happens to air service in a situation like this, where a place is in turmoil?

Hi TA. I flew in to EZE during the days of the riots just before Xmas. Service was normal and no interruptions were reported. I understand that the service will continue unless there is a mayor deterioration in the security situation - something that would make the US state department issue a travel advisory, which until now has not been the case (and I dont expect it to happen).
Enjoy your trip!!

CO phone rep told me that they were planning on launching daily EWR-EZE service but it was cancelled due to the current events in Argentina.
I had to book an overnight connection in PTY (Panama City) in order to get to EZE later this month on a CO ticket. Oh well, I'll take the chance to see the Canal, I guess.

They are probably worried about getting paid and not security...

Who wants to do business there with this attitude?

I arrived here in Buenos Aires on 12.28 from JFK without any incident. Since here there was a riot the night I arrived and the resignation of the president two nights ago. But all is FINE. Have not been affected one bit (my friend saw the throng of rioters at Avenida de Mayo heading to the Casa Rosada with their pots and pans but he thought it was just an early new years celebration). The portenos are great and their protests are against the government and not directed at tourists (especially Canadians!). So come if youre planning on it, youll have a great time.
Feliz Ano Nuevo.

We were in and out of EZE twice over the past two weeks - on AA - latest flights on the 30th. No problems at all at the airport.
The Miami based crew from EZE to MIA - need a few lessons in customer service however
. (JFK - EZE crew were fantastic).
