I for one, bought the 21 InsideFLyer subscriptions and flew the Concorde for about $1200 RT. In retrospect, it was a great decision. The only negative was that while I was on the trip, I missed the $20 WT+ BA special.

But I'm still happy I flew the Concorde and have 7 pictures on my wall of the plane and food and seats, etc.

Yesterday's $105 all-in AA fare to Acapulco from many cities has to be in the top 20 or so, I would assume. Perhaps even higher? Considering its validity and availability during peak travel season, it's a pretty good deal.

The best ones are kept mumm from public view & still on-going - leave it to Pudding Guy, Tacchi et al for the publicity - if it's in the know, it's a no-go long-term. You can read about 'em in my obituary one day.

You better believe they were going to,for sure - but SAS stepped up to the plate, fortunately, & honoured them instead.

US Savings Bonds! I earned about 800,000 miles before the game ended,
buying bonds with money from the sale of earlier bonds, around and around.

Agree with this and did about 500K myself sometimes getting double miles. This was an especially good deal when short term rates were so low that one year Treasuries were paying about 1%. Even with the penalty Savings Bonds were a great short term investment with no risk of default or loss of principal due to interest rates rising. In todays enviornment I do not think the deal makes as much sense, but that does not realy matter anymore.
