For those of us who had transmedia and a dining program, they merged under I-dine and you have the option of 15% off , but no annual fee. The issue with Diner's Club is that they have their own program - not very many restaurants so I don't think their program is owned by the other (used to be dining a la card) restaurants. Idine merged the restaurants in Transmedia and the dining program. The question is if a restaurant is in the Diner's Club Le Card program AND I-dine or airline dining program, with you get the 20% from diners club and Miles from the Airline????

I will let you know hopefully sooner than later as I just applied for Diners. What bothered me was they (Diners) couldn't send me a list of participating establishments. Their computer system requires an account number to issue the book of participants. The rep I dealt with tried entering a bogus number, however, it was rejected. To sum up my original question wich may have been misconstrued is, can one receive the 20% off from Diners and their miles from AAdvantage dinning. Hopefully we will know soon.

Well I have just replaced one of my cards with my Diner's Club card. I am anxious to see if I get both miles and discount. There are a few restaurants that are in both programs. First person who knows for sure please post. Trouble is it always takes so long for miles to post.

I dined in a restaurant that is in both Idine and LeCard and used my DC card. I got my 20% discount, and I just called iDine and they said there are miles (= to before 20% discount) waiting to be posted into my account on 7/1. So both programs are being honored. I thought that would be the case...when I first saw this thread, I called both iDine & Diner's Club, to inquire about some specifics re: how & when the respective benefits were applied--& how, specifically, a charge to a card that is "flagged" by iDine, actually gets picked up by them, if the merchant doesn't know that the diner in question is a member.

I'm glad to see that the suspected-to-be-successful double-dip outcome has been confirmed.

BTW, I was interrupted during the composition of my original post (& subsequently did not post the partially completed post), or I would have previously posted the detail to which I've alluded.

Now all you have to do is dine in a city for which a restaurant ALSO happens to participate in the Gusto program...

No. I didn't use a coupon, but have in the past. I figured, if I were to use a coupon it would be better to use it on a subsequent visit in which I wouldn't get miles. I have also hooked each card to a different mileage program (non diners club)so that generally I can get miles on subsequent visits. Just got a DC secondary card for my husband - so it opens another 20% and miles possibility.
