Offical Talkies Results

I had a system crash on the machine that had the results, hence the delay in posting them.

23 members of Flyertalk cast ballots for Best and Worst in various categories. Each voter was allowed 10 points in each category and was able to split their points among 3 companies. These members represent a group of very frequent travellers. In the previous 12 months, they averaged over 68,000 miles flown and over 45 hotel nights. This group held elite status in 35 Airline programs and 39 Hotel programs.

I like how the bipolar results for United indicate that those who like it, really like it and those who hate it really hate it. Seems to be the way it is with them...

Hyatt's poor results surpirse me, especially in Customer Service ... I'd take Hyatt Customer Service over Marriott's any day of the week!

Delta's results also surprise me ... much better than I would have thought ...

I have to agree with the above choice, since Marriott treats me like a stranger with 1.2 million points total. Their attitude has changed for the worst, especially at the corporate owned properties like LAX.

Even the LAX Hilton next door does a better job, though more business like then family.

But it seems like the Hyatt properties are going out of their way to keep you content. Not so uppity. Guess that goes with NOT being rated in 1st place.

Rats, I didn't realize the deadline for voting was so soon! My vote probably would've pushed UA to the tops for worst airline! Would've been a sweep for them! Gotta pay more attention next time.

Those are the results of LAST years Talkies, as voted on by you the members of FlyerTalk.

This years voting is still going on.
Balloting will run thru August 18th, so you have plenty of time.

A few people have raised the question about what Midnight August 18th means.
So to avoid any misunderstanding.

Balloting will close at 12:01am EDT on August 19th 2000.
