Re overnighting in CCS (and other) airports - you can find reports at:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/donna.mcsherry/airports.htm

I would just call up Diners Club directly to get the info on the CCS lounge. (It's not listed in the online lounge directory, but others have found it.)

I am taking Taca 314 MIA- MGA and then continuing on 314 to SAL. I will have two separate coupons and boarding passes for each leg. There are only 30 minutes between thse flights. Are there any problems staying in transit in MGA and getting back on 314?

Also, any ideas on staying close to the airport in CCS? Where is the Diner's Club lounge in the airport?

You will not have to worry about transit, as TACA will not allow you to disembark.

Did anyone besides me run into Phil Shenon from the New York Times on their run. He was making the run and interviewed me on the trip from Cusco. As a matter of fact, Phil turned me on to this web site. Thanks Phil. I also had the pleasure of meeting and spending some time with Alex Tilley, of Tilley Endurables. What a great guy.

I need help putting a 500K run together.

I will be taking SFO-SJO (12:50am-9-55am) and
SJO-SFO (4:50pm-11:55pm). I am having trouble to get a good run utilizing the other 5 airlines. I only seem to be able to get 4 other airlines.

Can anybody help ?

Thanks.

JoE -

I hope you understand all the rules for this trip. You must have been a member of Latin Pass by mid-March in order to qualify. You must also complete the run by July 1. If you can meet these qualifications, there are many good itineraries already posted in this thread, particularly on the early trips. We will be on the "run" over this weekend. I hope you can make it!

Greetings from CUZCO. Met up with Vandykes4
and her party of partying women...!!! Inti Raymi festival was today and continues tomorrow. Randy and milesRus were on GUA-SAL-MIA.. Flyer talk hats and Ts for everyone.
Folks were on the run from as far away as Japan.

ACES cancelled flight out of UIO due mechanical. So they picked up Hilton, dinner...and breakfast, too. They handled it very well..best Ive ever seen...a very impressive little airline. When we reboarded the aircraft the next day, there was a piece of chocolate for all in a cute little box - stating we apologize that things didnt go as we had planned - please excuse the inconvenience and accept our apologies. Can U imagine?

Theres still time folks so run, run, run!

Again, beware of departure taxes...they add up quickly...

Has anybody had a usair flight post? Talked to about 10 people at usair and got everything from yes, no and maybe. LP said submit the boarding passes to them (LP) after the flight.

We had the opportunity to Visit Latin Pass offices, after our walk in the park trip. People were really great folks there. They said best thing to do is write them a letter informing them you are doing the 500 or 1 Million trip. Make copies of everything and send them to them. After 6 weeks, whatever has failed to post they can then do it manually. Considering they expected 25 people to do this and apparently over 300 people will, I would assume it may take a little longer than usual. Having been in programs for 17 years even the big airline programs sometimes take months, so be patient. Trust me I have been involved in many promotions and have never seen one this good, so for something great patience is a virtue to need.

Ron826, I redid my USAir flights after LatinPass said they wanted a original ticket receipt and boarding passes. I had USAir add the LatinPass number as my FF number before taking the flight, and sent LP a PNR printout (I asked the agent to print), ticket receipt (eticket) and the boarding passes. If you have the agent print your itinerary it has the LP FF number on it also. USAir said that they usually provide tapes of activity to partners but their impression was that LatinPass tended to rely on paper proof of the flight credits.

LP said they were going to be "very strict" about the original receipts et al due to the number of people doing the promotion.

billhallny....thanks for the info.......how did you get usair to enter the LP#?!?....I tried about 100 times....at one point getting into an argument with a dividend miles supervisor....they absolutely will not do it. My 4 segment flight got credited to dividend miles...but I was at least able to get them to remove it. I was told in order for the flight to be credited to LP I need to give my LP # at....1. the counter (ibooked the flight on usair web site) 2. at the gate and 3. after the flight?!?!

I've submitted all original boarding passes and recipts to LP but as the deadlines looms i'm getting nervous about this flight.. did your flight actually post yet?

I'd be interest to know what the costs involved with making the million or 1/2 million mile run are if anyone cares to post.

Thanks, Jay

I told the rep at the service center the Sabre command to add the LP number.
FFLP(your number)/US-1.1
(the 1.1 was important, the agent tried her normal way without success).

I also had a gate agent update the record too. It was important for them to remove the
USAir dividend miles number 1st if it's present.

BUT it only seemed to work if it was done before the flight was taken. Changes after the flight is closed out (e.g. at arrival or later) seem not to work ... which makes sense to me.

I don't believe any US miles have posted yet since we just retook the LP creditted flights recently and then sent all the documentation to LatinPass, so it's still early for us.
