SCHUTZEE: Two things: 1)Try flying on N6 instead---they have an interline ticketing with group Taca. If all else fails, break the LIM/CUZ flight out and book it separately. This will drive up the cost because it will no longer be treated as an online transfer but at least you will have a ticket.
MAUIGIRL: I find it hard to believe Taca Peru would "only have V class seats left". Most airlines sell out of the cheaper seats first, leaving the full Y for the last becuase they get the most revenue from it.

MAUIGIRL: I just checked Sabre for seats on TA from LIM to CUZ and they have Y anc C class seats available on all flights from May 5th through May 20th. Your problem may stem from someone having the computer price out the flight in the "cheapest possible mode". Have the agent just price it in Y and it should be able to confirm it in Y.

Another option for flying LIM-CUZ is on LanPeru (somehow affiliated--a subsidiary?--of LanChile). LanChile in the US should be able to confirm (and ticket) this for you. Worst case: just have them book you--ticket at the airport. Other option for TransPeru would be to call them in Lima to make the reservation--ticket day of departure.

You may also want to consider booking LP (LanPeru--a subisidary of LanChile). Not sure if LP can be booked via the web (or travel agency), but LanChile in the US certainly can. Also, LanPeru serves MIA-LIM so you could ticket at MIA or LIM pretty easily. You may want to avoid TransPeru or Aerocontinente (their aircraft are sort of old and scary--727-100s)

Schutzee:
We are also booking the 9:15 Tans Peru flight into Cusco and my AAA travel agent was finally able to get me this ticket, with some difficulty. She finally found that she that she had to book it through CO airlines. The returning flight from Cusco is a Taca Peru flight in Y class. If you can't get someone to book this leg, I'm sure that the agent I worked with would be able to get you the needed ticket. Email me if you need more information.
Also, I have contacted 2 different agents at Nica, and they both confirmed that the Taca flight 514 from MIA to MGA booked in D class will acrue miles and qualify for the Nica segment of the promotion. The second agent I spoke with gave me her email address and I am going to forward the question and get this information in writing. If anyone else would like the email address of the Nica agent, please let me know.
