I need advice on a connection @ GYE. I will arrive on Aeropostal #925 @ 5:30AM. I will have a small carry on backpack, and a small checked duffel bag. I am connecting to CO #798 which departs 6:30AM. Is this a feasable plan ? Is Aeropostal strict about carry ons ? Any suggestions are appreciated.

OK, our itinerary is set now, and the tickets are purchased. Five of us traveling together on same itinerary. We had several criteria:
1. Decided that we did not want to be flying all day;
2. Didn't want any tight connections;
3. Mutually decided that we did not feel like traveling to Columbia, so we would do the 500K run, instead of 1000000;
4. Wanted to stay at nice places;
5. Weren't concerned about spending a few hundred dollars more to ensure it met all of these criteria; and
6. Made sure all of our flights would be on big birds, not puddle jumpers.
With those criteria in mind, here is the plan we worked out:
June 8--Fly into MIA, haven't decided upon accomodations yet.
JUN9 MIA TO CCS Aeropostal 501 10:10a to 3:00p. Airbus 320 Overnite at Intercontinental
JUN10 CCS TO PTY COPA 220 8:05a to 9:20a
Boeing 737
PTY TO SJO LACSA 652 4:05p to 4:15p 737
Overnite at San Jose Intercontinental
JUN 11 SJO TO GUA AVIATECA 910 7:05a to 8:40a 737
GUA TO MGA TACA 321 5:50p to 8:00p 737
Overnite at Intercontinental Managua
JUN 12 MGA TO MIA TACA 515 9:55a to 2:25p
Airbus 320
MIA TO PHL later that evening on US.
Picking up 1,000,000 miles in our family in 4 days, and hoping to have a great time doing it.

I finished the 500K with COPA, TACA, AEROPOSTAL, AVIANCA, AVIATECA, and LACSA last week. In June I'm hoping to finish the million with NICA, SAETA, ACES, and TACA PERU (I initially thought I would only do the 500k - hence my leaving NICA for this run
instead of doing all the Central American flights first and leaving only South American flights for the second part. Oh well
.
Does anyone know what's up with SAETA and TACA PERU? Is TACA PERU flying internationally yet? What about SAETA?
cheers,
nsw

A question about partner flights posting to LP:
My friend and I did the partner segments on USAir this weekend and are having trouble figuring out how to get the miles to post. We added our LP numbers to the reservations, asked the gate agents to double check them, and are now calling USAir Dividend miles to confirm the posting. The Dividend folks have no idea what we're talking about though, and we're getting two completely different stories from LatinPass and USAir. Has anyone had their USAir flights sent over to LP and if so, how?

I don't understand how these "Partners" can be so clueless about how to work with their partners. At least LP could contact the Partners and have them get the word out.
For example, this is a response I got from US Airways:
My email question to US Airways:
I would like to know how future flights on US Airways can be POSTED directly to the Latin Pass account. Latin Pass says this is possible.
What code needs to be entered in the US Airways reservation to get the segments posted to Latin Pass?
US Airways Response:
" You can not receive credit on Latin Pass, when flying US Airways. You must
receive credit on US Airways.
Hope this answers your questions.
Bonnie Moss [email protected] "
Even the Partners Desk (at TWA) had no idea.
IF ANYONE FINDS OUT HOW TO GET LP # INTO US AIRWAYS OR TWA TO POST TO LP ACCOUNT - PLEASE ADVISE. Also has anyone had any postings complete for these or Radisson or other Partners?

Duplicate posting. This site is getting real bad at duplicates. Randy, you need a batch file to remove duplicates automatically.

I too got the run-around from 5 agents in different departments at US Air about getting LP mileage credit. Adding "LP" did not work.
Finally I spoke to the very helpful Jenny Graham of the US Air Consumer Affairs Department (336) 661-0061. She said she was able to find a Dividend supervisor who knew how to arrange the mileage credit. It seems that the process for LP credit is not automatic and so requires "a few extra steps."
I would appreciate hearing from others about information (i.e., verbal or writtin US Air confirmation) regarding getting US Air to LP credit.

The correct entry to put your LP account into Sabre is: FFLP(your number)/US-1.1
If you are booking your travel through a travel agent they should know what to do. If you book online or through an airline you are at the mercy of whoever you talk to.
The email from US airways stating you can only earn US miles on US flights only proves US airways hires mimimum wage/untrained people to staff their FF desks.
