I've really had decent service with MyPoints, I even emailed customer service yesterday, Thanksgiving morning concerning the issuance of an award, and got a response at 9PM last night. I'd be happy with that on a normal day, but on a holiday yet! Hopefully they'll strive to provide a more equal level of customer service.

I had to kind of chuckle to think that ffhound would like you to complain that there are not enough ways to get something for nothing! Also tell them to just send me cash...lots of it! Give me a break!
There are plenty of problems with the program that have been brought up in this forum and elsewhere. The larger question or concern for me is that if these problems persist, how much confidence am I supposed to have that they are for real and in this for the long term. There's nothing worse than starting a partnership (which is what this program is kind of like) only to be left holding the bag.
Good luck.

I hasten to disagree
The points are not for nothing. One gives up one's time and expends some effort in viewing web sites, answering surveys and reading email so it is not correct to say that the points are given entirely for free.
I just think that if Mypoints are serious about making their program attractive then they have to give opportunities to accrue points at a reasonable rate otherwise people will conclude that it is just not worth the effort.
I think that some people may already have reached this conclusion.
cheers Peter

Understood. However I don't believe that the free points are really what they expect to be the bulk of points earned. They are, afterall, around to make a profit as opposed to ensuring that anyone with some time can get a free airline ticket.
Put yourself in their position if that's possible. They are giving away free points to get people aware of them. Ultimately they'll turn out to be just like clickrewards where the vast majority of points earned come via purchases.
And I still have to chuckle at the concept of expecting free stuff for doing nothing...I mean answering surveys and reading emails.

I don't know how MyPoints expects you to earn points. However, such sites make money through advertising. When you get an email and get 10 points by clicking, they are not giving those points away for free, rather the advertiser is paying them for getting the message across. That is why the survey points are gone.

Well, sadly, tonight I went 1 for 8, just 10 pts on the first topics in Talk City before giving up. Internal errors abound! Maybe the server was swamped but it's really kind of a poor showing for both My Points and Talk City here.

I was out of town for the holiday using some of my miles. :-) The MyPoints study was November 10th. I aired all of our complaints. Seems everyone there shared the same complaints. MyPoints watched from behind a two way mirror. It was actually a lot of fun & hopefully some good will come out of it.
