... too much work for the UA 900/1400...
i.e. call somebody to cancel... that kills it...
edit:
but now I see 1500 AA,
easier and better value for me. Thanks !

Just signed up 3 times through AA, UA, and US using different emails and separate browsers. I used the same card every time, the $25 amex gift card I just received. Now I can use up the rest of the balance and not worry about canceling the suscriptions.

What did you enter as the billing address for the gift card?

My own address that they sent it to. I used the same address all 3 times. I just noticed that they put $1.00 pending charges in addition to the $0.99 so I will have to wait for those to expire before I can use up the gift card. Citi virtual numbers would have been easier...

Again I think this 120 day rule is coming from the NY Times meaning that you can't cancel an existing digital subscription just to obtain the 4 week promo rate immediately thereafter - with this clause they are saying that after canceling an existing subscription one would have to wait 120 days before they could sign up again and be eligible for this 99 cent promotion.

NYT is a clueless business. Excellent journalism, but may as well be run by toddlers. At the risk of starting a Netflix fiasco, I'm willing to bet this is churnable by way of unique email addresses and (maybe) cards.
