Try clearing your cache and signing her up again w/a different email address if possible. Make sure you type in the promotion code correctly.
Anyway, this might have been said already but copy/paste adds a space at the end of the code which has to be removed and I think that was the issue. Got the 1000. :D |
How were you able to get this? When I select USA on the FLYBMI page, it takes me directly BA.COM. If I select UK, there is no where to input the promo code when I register a new account.

Great tip, OP!
I'd recommend to everyone jsut xfer 99x points-- I don't know if the BD ones will expire, but you can xfer a point or two later and reset your BA expiration date that way if needed. |

And then, earn BMI miles instead of Avios when you stay at Hiltons. For Hilton properties, except for Home2 Suites, you can earn 1000 BMI miles per night, up to a maximum of three nights per stay; depending on which Hilton property, you'll only earn 100-500 Avios per stay. Or, in other words, BMI's earning ratio can be as much as 30 times better than BA's.
Of course, you can then transfer BMI to Avios at a 1:1 ratio. |

'Drat! Those pesky FTers have bested us again' - quote which will be said by someone in a few hours when they arrive at BA HQ and see the hundreds of new BMI account holders. :D |
2nd time was a charm
1st time, it didn't give me any points. 2nd time, I cleared cache and made sure there weren't any spaces in the code, and used another e-mail. Got my 1000 points and combining to Avios was smooth and quick

Thanks!

I think they dont care if the people get 1K for free. It is really not a lot. They can see it as a welcome gift for BAEC

has anyone tried to make more than 1 bmi account and transfer them to the same BA account???

Tried both Firefox and Chrome with 2 different emails and didn't work either time.
|
Thanks for the heads up on the deal. Didn't have a ba account at all, so I signed up for ba and bmi, got the 1000 avios, and transferred them to my ba account.
|
Got it to work too. free 1000 points!
