You're right, I will move AS out of the OW list. While enhancements and devaluations are coming I doubt they'll change the MM program.

No. AA is counting dollars spent on an AA/Citi Credit Card and it doesn't start until May.

It also includes Barclays AAdvantage cards, and the May effective date refers to when the miles are posted to the AAdvantage account, which means some April spending will count for most people. Still, this is very different from the "old" days in which any mile posted counted for lifetime status.

Thanks for making it crystal clear. I didn't mean that EQD is counted towards MM.

Yep, should've been more clear in my post.

To be on the safe side, I think April 29th is probably the earliest one can spend and have it posted on May 1st.

Miles are posted to the AAdvantage account once a month. If your April charges appear on a May credit card statement I would expect them to count, but I have not followed this issue closely.

For all eligible Citi / AAdvantage and AAdvantage Aviator credit card products, as well as select AAdvantage credit cards outside the U.S., every dollar spent on net purchases that post to your AAdvantage account between May 2020 and December 2020 will count as one mile toward Million MilerSM status.

Wording off the MS Plus site, do you know why they changed it?Platinum Members that had been upgraded to Platinum level before 20/01/2020, will still benefit from the following: -
  • Unlimited Award Mileage Validity.
  • Platinum for life.

I'm going to go with the safe route. Basically I won't pay for any large expenses like taxes until May 1st at the earliest. I'll probably test out my theory with something cheap like a dollar or two from April 26th or so and see where that will lead.

Now that AS officially joined OW, I have moved that listing to the OW section. Unless AS changes something, 1MM will give you Lifetime MVP Gold which is Oneworld Sapphire, and 2MM gets you Lifetime MVP Gold 75K (Oneworld Emerald)
CMK10 and Boraxo like this.
