No. AA is counting dollars spent on an AA/Citi Credit Card and it doesn't start until May.
Thanks for making it crystal clear. I didn't mean that EQD is counted towards MM.
It also includes Barclays AAdvantage cards, and the May effective date refers to when the miles are posted to the AAdvanatge card, which means some April spending will count for most people. Still, this is very different from the "old" days in which any mile posted counted for lifetime status.
