The first few posts were copied from the previous version of this thread to provide a baseline. Otherwise, all posts are from 2012. If you have found information that you know is obsolete, please mention it to help others. Threads are not updated because "someone" else took the time to do it. Everything you read on Flyertalk was written by someone like you who was motivated to track down and organize the material.

I believe BMI is no longer doing status match now.

Okay, I have skimmed and searched the status match threads but haven't found anything exactly matching my question (sorry if I'm duplicating). I recently did challenge to CP on US airways and will hold onto it for a year. Without the challenge, my miles qualify me for gold on US and gold/50kpqm is a reasonable expectation for me or maybe a little higher (eg plat/75k). I've been flying more while looking to relocate for a more permanent job. No idea where I'll end up yet but if it isn't near CLT/PHX/PHL/DCA, another airline might be more suitable than US.
However, it seems like the big 3 Delta, AA, and UA consider each other for status match but not US. Has anyone tried it? I'm just curious/speculating at this point. On the US thread there are mostly people trying to switch from the other three to US.
Finally, I know there's a decent chance US and AA will merge... which would make all this moot. Just wondering about what to do before that happens/if it doesn't happen?
Thanks!

Delta's formal program is here:

...and you are correct that US Airways is not included. You will need to search in the DL forum to see if there are exceptions or alternate programs for other carriers.

Turkish Airlines is matching other airline statuses.
Was able to match my DL Gold Medallion to TK Elite, which is Star Alliance Gold. That made my international trip for A3*G a lot easier.
