As far as I am aware, Thai ROP does not engage in status matching.......

So the easiest and best way to get into *A is through Turkish......

if you have gold status with a network yes.
If not then its A3 and 18000 miles for Gold.

I tried to match to AR from BA silver.
Denied as none of the routes on my statement i sent are operated by AR

Per the TK forum, the status match offer is over.

So Turkish also goes out of hand......any other *A airlines to offer....my main route revolves all over Japan and Australia.....that's it.....
It will start towards the west Ina couple of months.....

AR sent a mail that they verified already approved status match and "cannot offer any" :D

AR also declined spouse's match from BA Silver.

Any way to status match/challenge to UA 1k? I know it's only to Platinum that the do a challenge, but is there any way to do the challenge and then fly just another 25k more to get 1k?

Remember thar so as to participate in our Elite Status Match Challenge the company you belong to must have one route operated by Aerolineas Argentinas.
As the company you belong to does not operates Aerolineas Argentinas routes we can`t do the match with our Program.

Curious...... no such mention on their website. Also short sighted as you could travel with an airline fitting the mould but credit somewhere else.....

UA status does not work that way, 1K != Plat + 25k. Normal 1k qualification requires 100K miles.

The UA Corporate status match appears to match either Delta DM or AA ExPlat to 1K, so if your company has a contract with them, you might look into it.

I got the same message trying to match to Virgin Australia Gold. I looked back at the offer and the first sentence says: "We offer you the opportunity to participate in a challenge to join our Elite Categories, offering frequent passengers of other airlines that operate Aerolineas Argentinas routes, a similar level in our Aerolneas Plus program."

I completely overlooked that when I submitted my status match request. I also have TK Gold from another status match, but I have no activity or miles so I don't think AR would match.
