Will toss:
Chase BA cards. BAEC was always, for me, inferior to AAdvantage and the new AVIOS is much, much worse. Wife and I may keep our cards (in a drawer) if the annual fee is waived, but don't plan on putting any spending on it.
AMEX PRG. Have Plat and Blue.
Citi AAdvantage business cards. Will switch these over to SPG AMEX in preparation for future churn.
Various Citi AAdvantage cards acquired for the signup bonus miles.
Will keep:
Citi AAdvantage personal card. AA/OneWorld miles are the most valuable to me right now and my personal AAdvantage card is one of my oldest CCs. I anticpate getting enough bonus miles to make this a wash vis-a-vis SPG AMEX,
Cap1 - For the cashback and no foreign transaction fees. Strictly speaking it won't be in MY wallet, but that's another story.
SPG AMEX for business.
SPG AMEX personal - if I can snag a really good promo.
AMEX Plat - Somewhat on the fence about this one. AC access, FHR, PTS are either not very useful to me or can be acquired at a lesser cost. The $200 airline credit helps a lot but I'll get it for 2012 before my renewal comes up. Feel a bit like a douche snagging the credit then cancelling, but I'll get over it.
Maybe AMEX will toss me some MR points to keep me onboard.

Chase Freedom is getting promoted to primary. The UR mall is generous and fast in posting. Also avoides the pitfall of not earning miles on award tickets.
Citi AA MC is getting demoted now that everything doesn't count to lifetime but the fee is paid. Will be gone once I top up my next award.
BoA US Debit will remain active but benched until Grand Slam '12 and its annual fee date.
If a 32k+ Chase Amtrak offer comes around I am all over that.

Active: Amex PRG (travel, gas), Chase Sapphire Preferred (dining). They make a great pair.
Idle: Citi AAdvantage, Discover Miles, Amex Blue
To Be Cancelled: Chase BA
2012 Plan:
Idle: Citi AAdvantage, Discover Miles, Amex Blue
To Be Cancelled: Chase BA
2012 Plan:
- Upgrade the PRG to Platinum if a compelling (e.g. 50K MR) upgrade offer comes around.
- Upgrade the Amex Blue to Blue Cash Preferred. 6% on groceries is a lot.
- Possibly cherry-pick good business card offers.
- Take a fantastic vacation. CX booked with Avios gathered by me and Mrs. Jato.
- Consider a United card. Used to fly a good bit on AA, but SFO is United country.

My three cards:
CO Presidential Plus MC (Primary)
UA Select Visa
DL Platinum Amex
I know there are plenty that don't like the PPlus card, but I have ever since I got it. While some are complaining about the FEQMs, that is not an issue for me. One of the reasons outside of the CO/UA benefits (Premiere and club access), I like it is for the double miles on all hotels (saving me the hassle of having to get multiple hotel cards for extra points), as well as car rentals.
I originally got the UA Select just for the bonus, but kept it for the double miles on gas, groceries, dining and home improvement.
I use the DL Amex just for when I fly DL and at places that don't accept Visa or MC (like Costco) or for those online ticket places that offer specials for using an Amex card.

Keepers:
Chase Sapphire Preferred: All travel & dining
PenFed Visa: 5% CB on all gas
Hilton Amex: 6x points on groceries/pharmacy
BofA Alaska Visa: All other spend.. for now, cause I'm trying to rack up more Alaska miles. But soon I'll probably be putting more spend on the Sapphire card.

Keep: Amex Hilton, Citi Aadvantage, and Amex Green.
Want: Amex SPG, Chase UA.
Churn: everything else. I'm just sick of them all. In particular, in my move from US to UA, the Barclay's card isn't doing me any good.

while cancelling my UA Chase card a few moments ago, I was read a somewhat harsh script about: "credit agencies will be notified of your action for their records. any unused miles will be forfeited..."
what the hell does that mean? the bonus mileage I got for signing up a year ago better stay untouched
they did offer 5k retention bonus in addition to 5k anniversary bonus, but wouldn't budge on the $95 annual fee.
I think its more worth it to re-apply for a better offer six months from now, and not pay a steep annual fee for the first year anyway, rather than paying $100 bux for 10k UA miles. (I guess I would have paid it if I had the need for those miles, but checking the SIN-NRT route which I paid 10k miles + $12 in October... its been bumped up to 15k now so no rush to collect small amounts of miles, better off going for a bigger chunk)

It's a good time to reflect on my card status.
Like the OP, the AMEX Blue Cash is my primary card, bringing me plenty of cash each month for groceries and gift cards from groceries.
I occasionally use my Choice VISA and Priority Club VISA and will continue to do so because I want more hotel points and because Choice is no annual fee and PC gives a free night annually for $49.
These will sit in my drawer most of the time, but will be kept:
My US MC is new and probably worth keeping in future years for 10K miles for $89.
MY AA MC is an older card worth keeping because it is basically a no fee card as long as Citi makes retention so easy.
AMEX just gave me extra miles and a very low fee for my DL business card, so I'll keep it for another year.
MY AA Visa will be cancelled before it expires in Feb.
I am on the fence with my CO MC. I will probably apply for the Marriott card soon, so will keep it until then in case I need to trade credit with Chase to get approval. Will probably cancel CO card before fee comes due again.
Club Carlson will have a card offer in 2012, and will likely apply for that.
I have enough air miles for my needs for now, so probably won't apply for anymore airline cards for a while.
