Help Deciding on Cards
So I've received a few offers in the mail and have been looking through the forums for some good deals. To start with, I've got 40,000 UA miles from over a year ago (one of the cards). Plenty of DL miles although i still have the DL Amex. I've got a Plat amex already (Membership Rewards) it's my primary card.
My dad got the BA and AA 100,000 mile card offers. And he has about 50,000 Hawaiian Miles already.
So here are the offers I've received and my dad will probably go for the same ones if they're available to him.
US Airways
There are two offers I've seen so far. The first is one I received by mail. It's the Mastercard Premier World Card. It gives you 30K after first purchase and 10K after a balance transfer.
Another that I found in the forums is this one
http://www.mostmiles.com/apply/Landi...cellNumber=163
It gives you 40K with first purchase, no annual fee and the ability to get up to 60K total through additional ways.
Chase Cards
In the mail I received a Chase Sapphire card for 50K and no annual fee. I don't know much about the chase cards but are they like membership rewards points that can be transferred to an airline?
One for my dad that I found was the Chase Ink Business card for 50K after some spending, https://www.chase.com/online/busines...s/ink-bold.htm
but same question.... Can these be transferred to an airline?
American Citi/Amex
Now there's a few AA cards. Some from Citi and some from Amex. The offers are from this forum post http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...t-2-first.html
They're for 75K and seem like a good choice, although I'm guessing I couldn't go with the Amex one.
So any help or suggestions you guys might have would be appreciated. I guess for my travel needs, they're mostly domestic. As much as I would like to go international again I don't currently have anyone to go with so it could be a bank the miles situation until I do. Thanks for any advice you guys might have!

You can indeed get the AA Amex one, the "Amex" on the card just signifies the transaction network being used, it's not a card that Amex is actually approving. The card is authorized and administered by Citibank.
The 2x75,000 AA bonus cards (simultaneous application) are definitely the best deal going right now, unless you absolutely hate AA miles or something. If you can meet the minimum spends definitely do those first before the US Air or Sapphire cards.

Apply for both the AA Visa and the AA Amex. Have your father apply for the Chase Sapphire or Ink Bold since he is not eligible for an AA card unless it has been 18 months since he opened his last account. The Ultimate Rewards points can be transferred 1000:1000 into anyone's Continental, BA, Korean Air, Hyatt, Marriott, Priority Club, or Amtrak account.

Check out Chase partner transfers. Continental will be a good one since AMEX is canceling that (or rather I think Chase is getting exclusive). Hyatt transfer option is also good hotel option.

If it happened after you entered your details and submitted it, it probably went thru. If before, sometimes the application needs to be refreshed before it works. Regardless, you really have to apply on the same day to make it work.
