UPDATE:

After sending an email to the president, I finally got a response and credit for this purchase. I am shocked, but happy.

Now, for something strange. I've been unable to get credit for Ebay purchases (like everyone else) recently. But 2 days ago I purchased something on Ebay, and shortly afterwards got a notification from BC that there was a credit applied! Very strange, but I'm not complaining. Nor can I explain it...

It's not worth the hassle and I truly think that they have no intention of paying me for the credit due.

I buy clothes from American Eagle and the credits almost NEVER post correctly. I've emailed BC and received credits for several past orders, but got stiffed on a recent one.

"We are writing to notify you that as of today, 6/29/2011, we have not received a response from American Eagle Outfitters regarding the credit inquiry we submitted on your behalf on 3/29/2011. The purchases referenced in your previous inquiry have not generated a marketing commission for BigCrumbs.com.

It is our policy to close tickets regarding retailer credit inquiries if no response is received from the retailer within 90 days. However, if the retailer does eventually respond to the inquiry and supplies credit, we will automatically re-open this ticket and process your credit by the next payment processing date. "

Is this something new

We can't pay you until you've confirmed your account!

We could not confirm that your PayPal account exists. Please enter the postal address associated with your PayPal account below. Note that only the "Address Line 1" and "Zip/Postal Code" fields here must match those on your PayPal account.

this message shows on my BC profile and checked my Paypal address and everything seems to match

Does anyone know a way to get some value from Big Crumbs without having to go through PayPal? I have an account with PayPal, but they're such a pain, I avoid using them unless absolutely unavoidable. I have some cash with Big Crumbs, and can't seem to find another way to get it out of there that doesn't involve PayPal...

has anyone figured out WHY there are problems getting the cash back from big crumbs?
i thought i saw on another chat that it had something to do with which webbrowser you use and your cookies situation or something....

any clues?
i recently made my first purchase, a big one, and two days later no signs of any action (other than AMEX telling me my giftcards shipped). I used firefox.....should be interesting.

I'd say give it at least 7-10 days to post. I usually have mine post faster, but sometimes have had a lag.

It's either paypal or their prepaid mastercard. No checks.

I'm 2/4 with big purchases through big crumbs. If I don't have to go through them, I don't.

a "friend" of mine had to get the prepaid MC because Paypal froze her account. The card was impossible to make work so it went in the trash.

As much as I hate paypal, I would never touch the MC. It's hard enough to spend the exact amounts on a prepaid card, on which you're giving up your normal cc rewards, but it would be much easier for BC to remove funds from that than from paypal.
