I am trying to figure out if it's that or if going with AMEX is going to hose me up.

Did anyone get their miles fast with AMEX, specifically?

What does "hose me up" mean? Like "screw me up" or "mess me up"? Is this related to the Canadian "hoser"?

I just applied a personal and business weeks ago and I received a pre-approved letter from citi for 30,000 bonus mile credit card. Does that mean I get can another personal after 60 days filing period since letter stats pre-approved?

My AMEX statement closed on 8/24/10 and 75,000 miles posted to my account today. Now I just need to spend $500 more on the Visa. BTW, I already had the AAdvantage MC when I applied for this offer.

I know. I did. Statement closed. Details on the previous page =P

Btw, even though I don't know why I am not getting the same results as everyone else, I appreciate the info. It helps me decide on what point I need to just pay for the flight in cash and how long to wait.

So thanks to everyone who provided input.

Sorry for cross posting here (Mods - please remove if this is not alowed) but given that many of us have existing Citi AA cards, I thought it might be helpful to someone

(Please put replies in the correct thread so to not muddy this one with (additional) off topic materials)

OK anyone see the confirmation page churning forever? So after verifying your info and clicking submit, it turns and turns and turns. Been turning for about 10 minutes now.

Approved for the Citi Amex on Monday, decided to go for the Visa today.

to avoid that, I have two browsers open --i.e FireFox for the AMEX, and I.E. for the VISA......worked like a charm...I clicked on them simultaneously, and were approved!!

If you only got 160 points for spend, it looks like the rest of your charges didn't post before the billing period ended.

Are they both personal or is it the business visa? I already got one personal card and want to try for the other one, I'd love to hear your feedback if you're going for two personal cards.
