Another data point, my account was suspended in late September, no warning email or suspension email. My partners account is still going strong, same check-in frequency as me except that she doesn't chase Virgin America points. My suspicion is that tightened up significantly after their Elevate status promotion topguest ran in August. Perhaps if you are still going pull back on the Elevate checkins and keep up the IHG ones.

They have definately figured out how to parse out the non-app check-ins, though check-ins using the app are still working for me the few times I've done them. The river has indeed run dry.

Have not had any HHonors points post to my HHonors account in over 2 weeks. Go to the Topguest site and all check-ins are listed as well as the points. Have also received email confirmations for each check-in so obviously I have not been suspended.
Is anyone else having problems with HHonors points posting? |
How about using a location spoofer app and then check-in from the app? I cannot test this myself because I am suspended (without any warnings).

i can also confirm that apps from mobile phones for priority club and virgin are still working well.

I got warned early in the year for violating the T&Cs but wasn't suspended. I quit doing Holiday Inn checkins; was doing those plus Doubletree daily. Focused on Doubletree plus Virgin America (and UA while it lasted). All manual checkins; Doubletree is close to my house while I work on IAD property. Emails and points quit coming on 9/7. No email telling me that I was suspended/shut down. Can't log in to them. Whatever. 14K HHonors points, plus almost 4K (worthless) VX points.

Potentially Stupid Question:
I use TopGuest to get priority club rewards through Foursquare on every separate check-in. A local Crown Plaza has a FS special that entitles me to 1000 PC points on every 3rd check in. Anyone know if and how to get them? I cannot figure out how to link FS and my PC directly. Or does TopGuest simply take care of this? Again, forgive the idiocy if this question if it is stupid. |
It does sound like something direct with PC rather than through topguest; I doubt it would be so generous given its current fondness for suspending people. Does the hotel have a flyer or anyone who can explain the deal?

This type of promotion in an actual true check in at the Crown Plaza in question. FS is just showing the promotion. This does not mean that you need to just do 3 check ins via FS and get the points. Sorry.

I can't remember when I first did this 1x but just now received an email saying I had 500 pts deposited but when in checking my activity on my HH page it says only 50 have been added but it actually was 500!

I got the same email. On my HH the extra 500 is added into the final points total but not broken down in the points history. |

There are still people doing daily check-ins, and yet others who checked in a couple of times manually are getting shut down. Whoever develops code for TopGuest needs to get their DeVry CompSci degree revoked.
