Use of miles/points of a decedent
I wish a friend of mine could use the miles and points he had carefully accumulated over many years, never redeeming a single one.
But he cannot. I am now supporting a family through a tough time sorting out his various financial affairs, as he shared more information with me than with his mother who will likely administer his estate. I have enough miles of my own, but I cannot bear to have what he collected go to waste when his family might derive some benefit from them.
I have confirmed from certain threads that most programs have T's & C's that prevent transfers, even upon death. if outright transfers are not permitted, does anyone have any experience with administrators/executors having the power to direct use of miles for the benefit of the survivors? In particular, the mother and I would like to make miles/points available for use by surviving brothers without their cognizance of the source, for obvious reasons.
The programs, in declining order of importance are: IHG (250,000 points), UA (150,000), US (150,000), AA, and AS.
I won't ask anyone to scour T's & C's of any programs; I know I can do that myself so I won't shift such a burden to anyone else.
Should anyone have pointers or particularized experience, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you.

Note that I haven't actually read any of these threads, and hope to not have to for a while.

I too need to work on my search skills - my life on FT would be easier.
Thank you gotoblue!
