Hover over the BA link, and it shows the 5,000 bonus miles.

There is already an ongoing thread on this topic in the AMEX forum. I would assume the mods will merge your thread with that existing thread since that is the forum it should be in.

For all those newies...the BA credit card thread was posted in this forum but that doesn't mean topics like "Taxes on BA awards vs AA" or "BA AMEX transfer bonus" should be in this forum.

The Amex website says that the bonus is only for the card member, so I can infer that the additional authorized users CAN NOT get this bonus in thier BA accounts also?

Not at all clear to me that the bonus is one per Amex account, or one per BA account. Remember that technically, you can only transfer Amex points to the cardmember's own BA account - even though we all know that for all other airlines you can make a transfer to anybody's account, and no reason to expect BA to be any different.

Would love for it to be one per BA account - I have 6 BA accounts on my household account - would be great to get a 30k bonus. I'll try transferring in points to each of the accounts, just to maximize my chances....

Problem linking BA to MR

Unless the names match exactly you cannot link BA to the MR program. For some reason my first name on BA consists of first and middle names. Amex only uses my first name. I contacted Amex and apparently I have to call BA to get my first name "corrected".

is this deal exclusive for Gold card only?

I don't see an option to link BA account on my card page.

Should be for any US-based Membership Rewards account.

The ability to transfer points to a frequent flier or frequent guest program is not available in the Membership Rewards Express(R) program.

To book travel online with the American Express Travel site and pay with points, click here.

Unlike my previous transfers to DL I was not charged a fee/tax to transfer from MR to BA. That was refreshing!!
