Considering future relocation in FF program
Hello FT,
I am considering utilizing the UA Mileage Plus program as my primary for the next couple of years, mostly because I live about 12 miles from IAD. However, there is a high probability that I will relocate to Europe (STO, BRU or ZRH) in late 2012. Should I take this into account when choosing a primary FF program? In other words, is it prudent to take future plans into account, or should I just take it year to year? Thank you very much for your input,
Eric

It's something to consider, but since you're not moving until 2012, I'd stay with UA if you're happy with them. Programs can change a lot in 3 years. Once 2012 comes and you're sure you're moving, then switch FFPs if one will provide more advantages for you in your new location.

2-3 years is a long way down the road. United is your best provider @ IAD, I use it frequently too when the fares are higher than I like at BWI. For all you know you're new home airport in 2012 may be a good sized hub for one of the Star Alliance partners.
