Considering future relocation in FF program
Hello FT,
I am considering utilizing the UA Mileage Plus program as my primary for the next couple of years, mostly because I live about 12 miles from IAD. However, there is a high probability that I will relocate to Europe (STO, BRU or ZRH) in late 2012. Should I take this into account when choosing a primary FF program? In other words, is it prudent to take future plans into account, or should I just take it year to year? Thank you very much for your input, Eric |
It's something to consider, but since you're not moving until 2012, I'd stay with UA if you're happy with them. Programs can change a lot in 3 years. Once 2012 comes and you're sure you're moving, then switch FFPs if one will provide more advantages for you in your new location.

2-3 years is a long way down the road. United is your best provider @ IAD, I use it frequently too when the fares are higher than I like at BWI. For all you know you're new home airport in 2012 may be a good sized hub for one of the Star Alliance partners.

Thank you both for the excellent advice. I feel confident sticking with United for the next couple years.
