Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep at it.

I finally managed to trim half of the fat of an oryx fare using a dessert.
'great' succes for me as a noobie because i've been trying (and reading this thread) for a long long time.
There's still some fat and I would like to get rid of it, tips would be very welcome.

Fare: BRU-DOH-NRT 1/13

*A C1w-C6 for half off.

At $664 the menu is nearly fat free. Catch the opera for a few dollars more. Some dates in November then starting up again in mid january through well into next year.

An amatuer like me has to spring for a refundable dessert, but a pro might be able to save another $70.

Not a great fare, but if you wanna wallaby these days your gonna have to pony up.

Or save and earn some extra miles by taking the long road @:-)

And if you want to go to the opera, I would make sure to still opt for another final destination.

You mean the *A OJ, where you start with a Baguette for breakfast, Sushi for Lunch and finish with a tasty Kebab for dinner?

You can start in London instead of Paris, though they all return to Istanbul....just carry on luggage and you can get off in WAW.

Now that its alraedy on the blogs..

you actually have a 22h stopver in WAW, so it will be no problem to check your bags to WAW

Here's to the EK salesmen on this thread:

We should code as much as possible and the rest off-line. Every 6 months there's something like this. Abuse killed Lifemiles and many others in the past. Although in FDinbg I believe in resurrection.:)

Unfortunately not all members would agree upon that. Some are still striving for 5 minutes of fame with copy cat deals (or worse), hoping to impress a handful of noobs.

PMS strikes once a month. The ruthless aim for 5 minutes of fame even comes back more often. You do the math, my friend.

But they totally missed the Fare Conditions which will allow for even further 9 h 30 min expansion as additional "Side Trip", Stop-Over and the application of a 9X. Total flight time 55 Hours and 15 minutes.

9X - kinda joking. More like the 9th segment of the itinerary

What do you mean? Nine flights? lol..

bertheike Oct 19, 2015 4:24 pm

problem to find OTA for a well known FD

I booked a fare FRA-BKK-FRA where the BF is 104 EUR. FD it with a well known X1 in C3 and the result is 277,39 EUR all in.
priced in my own AMADEUS system.
Now I tryed to find an OTA ( searched around 15 from all around the world ) with the same dates in multicity , but no one price it even in this combination.
Any hint how to solve this problem ? please by PM

Yes indeed and bookable.
Lots of forward and backward tracking. Total mileage accrued is ~ 24,700 = ~ Equitorial Circumference of the Earth. Seems like the 9th segment chews most ( if not all ) of the remaining yq. There is also a $ 12.00 X-flight but for some reason the final price goes up by $ 2 by applying that one. That X has never been mentioned on FT before to my knowledge.

Did you find even one such $.50 BF thats EoE permitting?

In general, c1-c2 isn't looking pretty in that regard. The few that are easygoing don't have yq's worth dumping. C3 is looking better, and c2.5 is also nice.

*A C1w-C3e $386.70

I don't eat salad.

--Tip to fellow recent arrivals in c1.--

There is a great wall of fare rules these days... It's in the middle of the atlantic ocean. Look to the east, and find fares that are far more willing to play our games.

flylonghaul Oct 20, 2015 7:31 am

C2-C3e on * €133 with 3X

(Various destinations available for similar prices)

This route can already be had for ~ €305 before strike if you look in the right place.

Thanks. I'm not new to tricking, just to this thread. People told me i should check out WWE, and i found the thread interesting. There are some very nice routes from c1 available, but the brits still haven't gotten over losing us as a colony and aren't going out of their way to welcome us back. As you very wisely said , eastward is much more accommodating. I appreciate the friendly overture to an apparent noob. :)

hightraveler Oct 20, 2015 11:27 am

I found really cheap BF, and huge YR, but it seems it's impossible to trick it.

Fare rules:

END-ON-END
END-ON-END COMBINATIONS PERMITTED WITH AF DOMESTIC FARES
WITHIN FRANCE. VALIDATE ALL FARE COMPONENTS. SIDE TRIPS
PERMITTED.
Tried almost every airports combinations with AF domestic ... but no luck.
So, my question is, is it even possible? :)

I had a similar fare and wasn't able to dump anything! :(

Only because something is allowed to be ticketed together doesn't mean that it'll dump the fare most certainly. As many have done - read the first 100 to 500 posts on this thread (just takes about two nights) and you'll get an idea of why sometimes it'll work. If dumping was that easy, all the airlines would have to do is get rid of EoE combinations, which will increase the number of fares published, blabla bla.

Involving again the Paulista's OTA or just departing from the British Island?;)

Concerning the Sushi thing: I'm checking the departing dates from Coco Chanel, it seems gone..:(
The Hyde Park departures are still bookable? Searching all the OTA's on Momondo.de with few good results..
PM if you want to help me.^
