I looked at the web site you mentined. Where does it clearly show the fare class? I was checking the site for some flights I was considering.

Here, here. At your service. How may I help you?

What a surprise to come back and find my thread revived - I thought it had died a long time ago.

Yep - I just finished phase one last night - got back to O'Hare at 10pm as planned - almost got a bump on my last leg (MIA-ORD) - but barely missed it. Other volunteers got the bump (and $$ vouchers I wanted) but I got the last seat (literally) on the plane. Oh well - maybe next time. Now I am just waiting for my account to say Platinum....

Also, I will need to get my mileage credit for this last London run straigtened out - the flight I was supposed to be on MIA-JFK (before JFK-LHR) was delayed 3 hours so I was rerouted MIA-LHR - so I will need to get AA to give me original mileage credit. (My new boarding pass also said N class instead of the M I booked in - which affects when I hit EXP, FLY04, and EUR04 bonuses - so quite important!)

I will write a MEGA trip report on all my flying sometime when I have time - maybe not till all my flying in March.

So far so good (I think), but transfering to/from the E terminal at MIA wasn't fun!

Wow... I'm seriously impressed with this itinerary. Hope you don't wear yourself out!

I showed this thread to my girlfriend and she said if I ever THOUGHT about attempting a mileage run even half of this one...

Your mileage run is quite impressive.

But you won't get the AANYC: promo rules state that the travels need to be "booked in a single reservation under one ticket number".

No, he'll be fine with the JFK-SJC legs for his March runs to NRT. The RT definition only requires it's one ticket including both segments leaving/returning to the same city. So the JFK-SJC-NRT RT's will qualify.

What I meant was that there's one return NYC-Florida or California missing to have the 2 systemwides as I count three qualifying return. Remember they need to originate in NYC. But then let's leave the headache to AAdvantage.

I have 3 ORD-MIA-JFK-LHR-JFK-MIA-ORD itineraries and I have it in wrting from AA that this will qualify for AANYC. I also have one JFK-MIA-SJC-NRT-HKG-NRT-SJC-MIA-JFK so that is a total of four. I am considering doing some boston runs before April 15th but aren't sure if I really want to do this. I am assuming I can get 2 tickets from each promo - but could be wrong.

I have two more itineraries JFK-DFW-SJC-NRT-HKG return - and could probably standby JFK-SJC both ways if I needed to - but shoudln't have to.

Actually, no. This was closely dissected on FT:AA and the text definining the parameters of the bonus does not specify city of origination. It simply requires flights between the specified city-pairs.

Second weekend in April will fly:

Two BOS r/t on UA
One Bos r/t on AA
Back to CHI
Late April or early May I will fly two cheap UA same day returns from CHI.

So, all in all, I will earn these certificates:
- 4 anywhere AA flies
- 2 anywhere UA flies
- 1 anywhere UA flies domestic
- 1 First class anywhere UA flies domestic

That's in addition to 600-800K miles, VIPs, etc.

Later this year if there are more good promos, I might just go for 1K. We’ll see how long it takes to recover from this first though....

Wish I had the kind of money you are blowing on this when I was in college.

Actually... This isn't just for the sake of flying... but to increase the value received for total $$$ spent on tickets.

My (American) family lives/works in a place where the cheapest economy tickets to/from the USA are $1800-$2400 (consolidator price). AA partners fly there. It costs 75K miles for an award ticket. Award availability is pretty good. You do the math.

I wish I had the kind of money to afford to make EXP by buying a "DONE4 for around $4200, fly BA/QF/CX high quality International Seat Beds Business Class ATW-for 66,666 miles including 3 AA short US Internal sectors or around 4,666 miles and BINGO make EXP" as a few FTers reportedly do. Instead, I have to do a painful amount of flying in coach...

I am not rich - just saving my family money some big $$$, the hard way (painful amount of flying). A lot more money than I could earn working a college job.

And I won't worry about AA - not very many people are willing to do what I am for this. And they did recieve a signifant amount of money from me they wouldn't have otherwise. (Family would have purchased ticket from competition, not AA if I weren't doing this).
