Re: In a World of Hurt
Not too many options. Even many routings to ANC and DUB leave you short. Maybe try the following 47 minutes of paradise in HNL? If you get the 500 mile minimum, the following for $1619 should net you 9186 miles.

Help please. I have 91,094 miles and 110.5 segments. I have met all other requirements for 1K Status. I can leave on December 30 from IAH. Need to end up in Chicago on December 31. I really don't care where I go as long as I get the miles. I would like to spend as little money as possible. I am being offered 8,000 miles for $3,544 or 44 cents per mile! I need 1k status in 2015. Thanks in advance for any help offered as I am in a world of hurt!

Fare details show:
HOU-SJU QNN0R9SN
SJU-CHI QNN0A9SN
Which show this as an Economy fare that tickets into First. IME, upgrade fares have credited per ticketed fare this year (P and Y, in this case). Can anyone else confirm receiving credit at 1.5x PQM? If this credits only 1x PQM, this won't work for OP.

I am on a 90-day gold status match from United to Delta. I have to fly 12K miles to keep Gold in the next 40 or so days.
I fly from LAX or SNA, I dont care where I go, budget isnt too important though would like to stay in Continential US and vacation dates are flexible though prefer same day MR's.
Let me know what you folks might have up your sleeves! THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to me with this fare run. For family reasons, I couldn't fly after all on this excellent run. On my way home to ORD from IAH this morning, I bot 4,000 miles at the kiosk for $1,800. I am still 4,000 miles and change short. I have several itineraries ticketed in January both short hops and long trips. I can buy 14,000 miles for about 3.3 cents a mile, but I only need 4,000 plus. I was offered 5,000 miles for a short trip for 42 cents a mile!! There otta be a LAW against this! I am still deciding whether or not to just spend the money to ensure 1K status for another year. I am wondering if I will have the option to buy miles next year at a lower rate than 42cents a mile? Anyway, thanks again. I will not wait until the last minute next year!
