update - depending on itinerary it will book OK via Priceline. As mentioned above ymmv, but got it for 3021 for a mile run for end of year, and booked into busienss.

Can you post your routing? Also, what did Priceline tell you the price was? Was it always $3021 or something higher?

the SCL-GIG legs are in coach, a319 or a320 5 hours each. everything else is in business. Expensive to fly PE to GIG. Also fares nly price out with lower fares if GIG i included in the trip - anytime I exclude the GIG leg the prices go up. Anyone been able to price without GIG? or gotten a J fare to/from GIG to work with some of the other legs in South America?

Other than GIG, IGU also works!

The ticket is still alive with H fare basis, and we can add LA connecting flights all around South America up to max 16 flight segments

Moreover, all transfers within South America could be turned into stopovers. For example, we can make stopovers at SCL/PMC/PUQ/MPN/GRU/IGU/GIG/EZE/GYE/SCY/GPS/UIO/LIM in the following ticket

I think this one is not available any more, isn't it? I have been checking since last week, but the attractive price disappeared before last weekends. I still want this one if it's still available. Now, the lowest price is around $5000, that's what I found recently.

TYO-GIG/TYO-GRU are still available with H fare, and connecting flights all around South America could be added with additional price, as shown in post #52 of this thread

I am not sure, but you will jump to Latam booking site from googleflight, and you will be able to find the details.

J fare, yes

This is K or H fare, not J fare

According to the fare basis:
CHANGES PERMITTED FOR REISSUE/REVALIDATION
BEFORE DEPARTURE CANCELLATIONS PERMITTED FOR REFUND

However, I would advise not to change the J segment, hence it may become original K/H if the thicket was checked manually.
