[PREM FARE GONE] LATAM/ JAL NRT-SYD-SCL-GIG Business Class $2272 RTN
LATAM/ JAL NRT-SYD-SCL-GIG Business Class $2272 RTN (that is a lot of flying up front)
Prices out on a couple of OTAs. I also noticed some fares to Asuncion from Narita as well. I do not have time to search more as Iam between flights in Chicago right now. Credit to MightyFares search engine. https://www.kayak.com/flights/NRT%2C...t=bestflight_a |
Other Possible Routing:
TYO-LAX-LIM-GIG JL+LA TYO-SYD-SCL-GIG JL/QF+LA (QF also possible on SYD-SCL) |
This ticket will earn a whopping 10058 EDQ for AAdvantage. Books into J and 40% EQM ratio LA coded, fully flexible.
Edit: 48510 EQM too!) Amazing fare! |

Dominicus where did you see the J booking code? LATAM site (which is no longer pricing it)? |

That's not a Business fare basis...I'd be very suspicious of this ticketing and getting flown in business... (but it sure is tempting to try!)

Where are you all pulling this up from? Can't see it on ITA
|
expedia can price.

Managed to book via Expedia without triggering a reprice. Ticketed and able to locate on LA Manage Booking however it appears seats for the return sectors all go in Y. I suspect this might be an OTA error and won't stick.

This was the best I could find on Matrix but it doesn't map out properly to the booking engines.

looks like maybe a fare-table coding problem |

I'd probably do it, if i knew that I could still earn AA miles/status on LATAM by September next year |
It was a great deal but there's too much uncertainty, as LATAM has horrible customer support, and not sure what their presence in oneworld and the accrual charts will be like next year.
I priced this without issue last night. |
Booked this morning! But looks dead now :(

Still available. The link below is for KIX-SYD-SCL-GRU (Qantas / Latam mix). Bookable on Ex....

Inputting the fare I found on Matrix (post 18, above) into the LATAM website's multi-city tool returns flight choices for all flights, except the NRT-JFK and LAX-NRT flights. The booking engine says no flights are available that day. When I select alternate dates, the same error appears. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Priceline just sent me a notification about a schedule change, though it hasn't been made obvious what the change was. Anyone else?

Are you able to share how you booked your ticket?

I booked through expedia but the latam flights showed economy seat selection so I cancelled immediately. Less attractive itinerary is (or was) available to book directly on LA web site.

The first word of the message you quoted is a good clue. I booked via Priceline.

I built the itinerary in Matrix, and use powertools to book via Priceline. Does this answer the question? Not sure what else there is I can say about it.

Largely, yes. Although it doesn't help but I'm nonetheless appreciative. As I mentioned in post 18, when I build my itinerary in Matrix and use powertools (at least I think it's powertools; the Violentmonkey extension), the fare doesn't map across to any of the booking engines. Expedia fails. Cheapo's fare is several thousand. Priceline's fare is several thousand and it gives the outbound in business and the return in economy. AA prices at several thousand. Hipmunk, Momodo and Skyscanner all revert to an economy booking. Kayak will, at best, give a two-sector itinerary each way (mine is five sectors out and four back).

Have you tried changing the Cabin function at the top of the page before clicking through?

The outbound in J / return in Y thing is probably just a rendering error on Priceline. If you don't expand the flights selected it shows the cabin based on the first segment of the flights. Since the first segment of the return on this is in Y, it thinks the entire return is in Y. If you expand you'll see it actually shows Y/J/J/J etc.
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...d463cece04.jpg I'm not sure where or how to expand the flights. (Incidentally, this itinerary prices at $6K; Matrix has it at $2.33K.) |

I had no idea that was even a thing. Thank you. I'll have a play with that.
Can you elaborate by what you mean on "expand the flights"? If I click through to Priceline, most of the time it will go straight to the price confirmation page, not the page where you select your flights. Having just done that again, I get this: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...d463cece04.jpg I'm not sure where or how to expand the flights. seems no more K fare, now shown H fare, around 400 more.
