Dates are too limited to be useful. Thanks IAANN for sharing. ^

Bought through expedia, but turns out to be (E) Basic economy, so will cancel this one. Through google link to spannish alitalia it works, I got pnr and able to select seats on 3 out of 4 segments.
So who know what is intern doing this time and how its gonna turn out, but i need to by new york those days, so i am giving it a try...

Going to sit this one out. Good luck to everyone who has to deal with Alitalia - especially if they haven't had to deal with them previously

Booked and ticketed!

Both confirmations of Allitalia show business

Will see. Was still mad at myself for passing on the CX deal from a few days ago

I'm not doubting you, i wouldn't presume however there is still the issue on Amex which states it's economy.

Is this fully refundable does anyone know? I'll take a punt if so ...

Based on the handling of the FLR-DUS fares, I'd expect AZ to cancel this.

However, this fare allows issuing it on ticket stock of AZ, AF, KL, DL, UX. If you can get it issued on non-AZ ticket stock, you may have more luck getting it to stick.

Good luck to all. I'll pass as last time the "intern" drove me nuts but I did receive all my refunds- eventually.

Try to use ITA Matrix power tools, you could try then to play it even on 001 or other non AZ stock...

Cheers for posting even if it doesn't work out!

Edit, for what it's worth I've been able to select business seats on all flights.
Where were you able to select seats?

Well...what the heck (famous last words ?) I changed my mind and went ahead and booked these tickets on DL metal overseas to JFK both directions. 764 to JFK and A330 to FCO. I was able to select seats in both directions, including Delta One on the Delta website. Fingers crossed.

XP displays this fare in a funny way.
Fare type: Basic Economy
Cabin: Business (E)
Not sure how it works.
