AA/One World: 2019 Consolidated Mileage/Status/Challenge Runs help needed
.
Requesters and responders, please read this wiki before posting.
.
In order to organize Mileage/Status/Challenge Run threads, the Moderators have decided to create a consolidated thread. This is the thread for American Airlines.

For each request:
  1. do a search on your departure airport(s) to see if there's a MR already posted that might fit your need
  2. if you don't find what you need, post your request using the standardized format shown below in this wiki
  3. it's nice form to acknowledge the responder with a post indicating whether the assistance worked for you or not. This helps everyone learn about successful runs
  4. if several days have gone by and you have not received a reply, bump up your original post with a (gentle) re-ask. It might be your post was missed in the fray
For each response:
  1. quote the original request
  2. include the route cities, price, airline, cabin/class, EQMs/EQDs, and dates for the solution(s) found
  3. whenever possible, include a link to the solution as found on Google Flights, or attach as screen print of the solution if from another source

_________________________________________________

For each request, use this format as shown. A glossary follows to clarify each entry.

Departure Airport(s):
EQMs or EQSs Needed:
EQDs Needed:
Max Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Max # Travel Nights:
AA only, or Partners Okay:
Have Chinese Visa? (Y/N):

If there is additional information you'd like to share that is pertinent to your request, feel free to add it after this standardized request format.
_________________________________________________

GLOSSARY:
Departure Airport(s): list the airport codes of any airports you can depart from, identifying preferred airports if any
EQMs or EQSs Needed: the number of each/either that you need to reach status. Please be as precise as possible, as some MRs can be within a few of your goal.
EQDs Needed: the number that you need to reach status. Please be as precise as possible, as some MRs can be within a few of your goal.
Max Budget: the maximum amount you're willing to spend to reach status. Less is always preferable, but a max is an important factor. Please make this a realistic number for your goal.
Available Travel Dates: list the range of dates you're available. The more you list, the better your chances of getting a good MR.
Max # Travel Nights: the maximum number of nights you're willing to be away. The nights might be at the destination or at a layover city. If cannot be gone overnight at all, list 0 or "day run only". Again, please make this realistic for your goal.
AA only, or Partners Okay: if you want to only AA-coded flights (e.g. for upgrades, etc), then list "AA only". If you are okay with flying on partners (especially useful for EQD runs), then list "either".
Have Chinese Visa? (Y/N): if you have a Chinese visa that will be valid at the time of the MR, then list "Y". Many good MRs have destinations in China, but you need a visa for those destinations.

I was playing around with this, but can't quite get that EQD within your budget in one trip.

The closest I got was BNA-SIN (through ORD/DFW and HKG), with the long leg in PE (which gives 1.5 EQM); you'd get somewhere around 30,000 to 32,000 EQM. That is about $2700.

You can do something like this, but it is from JFK (maybe ORD/MIA too), and it is $3k, and booking through AA would make it over twice as much:
https://flights.app.goo.gl/HLFnw

I've flown AY JFK-HEL-SIN, and found it generally pleasant. The day in HEL on the way over was kind of nice. Plus for $3k in lie-flat business, you really can't complain.

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

I can work 5 segments into 1 day for you...
https://flights.app.goo.gl/CEq7z

Otherwise, you can do ABE-BOS, ABE-AUS, or many others for about $400 over that same weekend with one night somewhere.

There's a few Hilton properties in downtown Austin for about $120 (+ taxes) for that Sat night, about $80-100 for airport area, so your air + hotel would be around $500 (plus you can check out Austin for a night).
Here's one example:
https://flights.app.goo.gl/4ju58

If you come, I'll try to get a local Do put together.

I'm pretty down in the dumps about my company implementing travel restrictions this year midway through the year. So, here I sit with 67,500 miles and zero chance to hit ExPlat for the 4th straight year because of low $ spend (sitting at <$11,000). If I could get some help with at least hitting PlatPro, it would be greatly appreciated.

Departure Airport: DFW
EQMs needed: ~7,500
EQDs Needed: 0
Max Budget: $500
Available travel dates: I can make almost any date in December work up until December 23rd
Max # Nights: 0 preferred, but could do 1
AA only since I have 3 SWUs that I'd like to try to use.

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Hey all, wanted to see if anyone could help me find a the most economical option before calling AA to try and find something. I know flying to Asia in PE would likely net me the needed EQM/EQD, but want to see if there was any opinions on lower cost options.

Departure Airport(s): CLE or any NYC
EQMs or EQSs Needed: 27,000
EQDs Needed: $2200
Max Budget: $2500, preferably closer to $1500 if possible
Available Travel Dates: December 23 - 31
Max # Travel Nights: Any number, happy to spend time wherever.
AA only, or Partners Okay: Partners okay (Oneworld)

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

What have you looked at (and found) so far?
Your available dates are some of the busiest travel days of the year.

To get that many EQD (and EQM), you'll probably want to fly in PE or biz on a partner. But those are going to be $3k+ for your dates. Here is one example (you didn't indicate that you have a Chinese visa, so I'm assuming no):

This is $611; if you can swing a night somewhere you can probably get it down. Play around in Google flights from this link:
https://flights.app.goo.gl/G5gWs

DFW-CLT-JFK-LAX-DFW, all on one day (the JFK-LAX is on the A321T).

thanks,
I'm sorry I was looking at the roundtrip miles on my calculator, but it was a one-way trip. I can't find anything near your EQM request within your budget for a same-day trip.

I have some flexibility on timing in regards to a couple of days if required.
TIA
