I guess we're on the same date then, do you think they can change departure date so that we could fly direct instead?

Well, it's now been a month and I have started making some refundable hotel bookings. I am now wondering whether it is safe to get some positioning flights nailed down.

In brief story from other forum:
NZ through TA requested to approve change to impossible schedule, after NZ881 cancellation:
NZ 881 S MARXX CHCSYD UN 07:00 08:35
NZ 883 S MARXX CHCSYD TK 16:00 17:35
UA 870 K MARXX SYDSFO HK 11:30 07:05
Some irresponsible people contacted TA in order to change ticket. NZ denied to offer any other alternative flight and offered refund as the only available option.
TA has requested all users affected by schedule change to fill and send "cancellation form" in order to get refund.

My CDG-SFO sector has now bitten the dust. Replaced by UA56 &UA800 via EWR. I'm a bit annoyed at losing the 11-hour break at SFO, but it's not a deal breaker. I think I'm just going to leave it.

I have just checked united.com and the new flights via EWR are showing up.
However, the following message appears above the flight details:
! A modification has been made to your itinerary. Please contact United Reservations to have your ticket reissued.
I don't really want human involvement on this one. What will happen if I just do nothing?

Normally with a schedule change, I see two options at the bottom of the screen - "Accept change" or "Don't accept change". This is not happening.

The plot thickens. I have checked my reservation online through the OTA.
All sectors, other than the new CDG-EWR and EWR-SFO have my e-ticket number attached. The newly changed sectors, however, do not.
I mt would appear that these two sectors are now reserved, but not ticketed. Is there any way to deal with this without human involvement?
