Booked! Needed a flight home from LHR anyways. GYE kind of out of the way but oh well

LATAM Ecuador, flight number XL1234 - do XL flight numbers credit to Alaska?

How would the credit work to AA if one leg (MIA-GYE) is on AA numbers?

If you're crediting to AS, you have to use AA flights right?

LAN Ecuador via JFK has better times and a better product ( lie flat on a 767 to GYE ), but I don't think it will give any miles on AS. AS website says the flight number must begin with LA (which is the code for LAN Chile), and the LAN Ecuador flights all seem to be coded XL, e.g. XL1234

Anybody know for sure?

The pricing I'm getting is £787, so my hope is that this fare is to celebrate their continued commitment to Dreamliners.

Booked with BA/LA to GYE via JFK to avoid AA codes. Seems about 3.3k eqd, 30k rdms, and 20k eqms on AA. I assume BA F is better on the 777 via JFK than on the 747 via MIA, but it is also 1k miles shorter.

Use expedia for 24hour cancellation.

I prefer the 747 first class. You can get the 747 to JFK as well.
