For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value):
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay:

Route(s) You've Already Searched:
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)?

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A NEW THREAD.
There are many good fares to China (PEK or PVG). If you have a Chinese visa, these options will be provided.

If your requested PQM is in a few thousand, please give a more accurate amount. You will get fewer options with a roundup number (eg, 5000 instead of 4830; IAD-SFO nonstop will work for the latter.)

Thanks. Any chance you can take a look at my request also? Trying to lock down something soon so I can plan it out. I posted the info above.

Thank you, I appreciate the fact that you're helping everyone in here.

What specifically are you looking for ... the provided google link has multiple variants over you're requested time period/route ... price is about $650 AI

I guess I'm looking at two scenarios here:

1. Do I do a single trip for the total of 18,000 PQM? And potentially find some R fares since I still have 2 GPUs left. I know about the LAX-SIN or SFO-SIN trip, but def no Rs on that and a very long trip in E+.

2. Do I go for two routes or more to get to a total of 18,000 PQM? I have the time to travel, so it comes down to prices and comfort.

I would def prefer a single trip to use the 2 GPUs.

I also looked at the OGG link and I can't find the same route through SAN. I see other options but not ORD-SAN-LAX-OGG

Thank you.

Yeah .... and I'd like a date with Amy Adams !!!

Sorry, can't help with the R space ... but you'll need to book in a higher class than the referenced trips. Didnt see the desire for an R space MR in the original post ... thats a TOTALLY different problem !

You're right ... the link also include MKE in the origin which is about $20 AI lower. If you want ORD only then use the provided link and remove MKE

You can book 1/2 of the needed 18K for a single ORD-OGG trip around $670AI EACH

(ex) using the provided link, most are reasonable 2hr connections, ~2 hrs in OGG
Sun Dec 03 0810 ORD-SFO-LAX-OGG, 2225 OGG-SFO-PDX-ORD 1629+1
Fri Dec 08 0810 ORD-SFO-LAX-OGG, 2305 OGG-LAX-SFO-ORD 1753+1
Sun Dec 10 similar to above

ORD-SIN is alot cheap, below has 3 & 5hr connections, 4hrs in SIN, $666AI ... many similar in Nov/Dec
(ex)
Sat Nov 04 1600 ORD-LAX-SIN, Mon 1000 SIN-SFO-ORD 1957

Why settle for Amy Adams when you can go higher?

You're right, I forgot about the GPU so I edited that post and added the info. My fault!

I'll take a quick look at some R fares on some long routes and see if it makes sense. I saw a few on ORD-HKG and ORD-NRT, but I won't have enough PQMs just for a round trip on these.

Also, any cheap domestic business fares that could potentially double the PQM? I did one last year ORD-LAX-PHX-LAX-ORD which gave me some great PQMs.

I love the idea of ORD-SIN also, but at 6"3, not sure if I can bear an 18 hr flight. Unless I break that trip into multiple segments.

Hi. I think my cheapest bet is SFO-DEN but I need only 1262 miles. I am flexible as to date. Anyone have any ideas out of SFO?

Thanks!

Yeah ... I think DEN, with a Southwest presence, will be hard to beat.

Doing the math on a few of the usual suspects ...
DEN $81 AI + $80(BE upfare) = $161.. 1930 mi
LAS $83 AI + $30(BE upfare) = $123 .. 820 mi
PDX $121 AI + $60(BE upfare) = $181 ... 1100 mi

Even trying to turn one of the LAS non-stops to a connect (for example through LAX) bumps the BE upfare way up to a higher AI price that the DEN nonstops

Looks like $161 AI to DEN and you're done !

Thank you!! Booking it now. And the extra miles may help with a SDC I may want to do at the end of the year. I had booked a longer route but now may be able to go shorter.

Hey there - my PQD is $3800. It's looking more likely that I will be Platinum after 10+ years of being 1K (I'm a 2.5million miler on UA). So I want to do a Nov/Dec mileage run to get my PQD > $9K and PQM > 75K. Make sense?

Cheap flights from IAH on United

I'll be short.meeting my 1k status this year on United because I had to stop traveling for 4 months when I had a baby. I'm looking for some cheap flights for me to do so I can bump up my segment number (I meet my status with segments flown rather than miles). I think the cheapest I have seen is $90 from IAH to MSY. Anyone know of anything else? Thanks so much

Here is another strategy I came up with:

2 Trips ORD-POS via IAH each at $464 for 6974 miles each, so then I would need exactly 4152 miles to reach 1K.

So if I can find something for around $200 to give me 4152 PQM, then that's decent.

Otherwise, I might have to do 2 OGG trips for the total of $664 x 2

I did the status match from AA EXP to 1K, so I needed 35k PQM's by Jan 29th. No spend requirment and won't need to worry about it in the future as I use my BKK address. Here's what I found and am doing:

MCO-EWR $216 P fare 1876 PQM's ($10 more than coach for 2x the PQM's
EWR-SFO-SIN RT $473 K fare 22018 PQM's, return leg is in Jan;
HKG-SFO-IAD RT $523 K fare 18,692 PQM's;
IAD-LAX-LAS-IAD RT $243 K fare 4576 PQM's.

I was also looking at some P fares MCO-ORD-LAX RT for about $850 or to PTY (forget the routing) about $780, for about 11,000 PQM's each RT. Since I already had the EWR-SIN deal, passed on spending that much.

So, done with 36,153 PQM's by 12/5/17 and 47,162 total with 11,009 of them in 2018. Total cost $1455, but I could have skipped the IAD-LAS MR, and I had an award MCO-EWR, but added a little cushion. The EWR-SIN RT and HKG-IAD would have done it for about $1000.

So, find the EWR-SFO-SIN RT for $473 https://www.google.com/flights/#sear...-LAXEWR0UA2117
and nest a HKG-SFO-IAD RT for $521 https://www.google.com/flights/#sear...HKG0UA869;eo=e

And, a little positioning cost, and your done 40k PQM's for $1000 and a couple long weekend trips. Add separation as needed as it's E+ not a premium cabin.
