Flight Changes
Many changes have been made due to Etihad schedule changes. In some cases, connecting flights are being swapped to nonstops. Some have been able to get this changed back by calling Etihad, others have not. You may have to repeat call / HUCA to get it switched back.

Update 12/28/14: Etihad will honor the fare per Forbes article.

Beware! I noticed 3 of my 4 eTicket receipts looked strange as they no longer had the return flight on them after Etihad rebooked me a direct ORD-DUB flight on AA. However, the itinerary on Etihad's site still showed all four people on both legs of the flight. I called AA and they said the tickets were booked by Etihad incorrectly. An hour on the phone with Etihad today got it cleared up (and tickets rebooked a second time), but I'm glad I double-checked my eTicket receipts on the new flights--otherwise the rest of my family might have gotten stuck in Ireland!

Just to follow up: I called Etihad tonight and they re-booked me on EY metal no problem. Seemed eager to do it...

If you're on AA ticket stock, you earn EQM's, if you're on EY ticket stock, you only get RDM's.
Dude, you reiterated my point. Anything not to/from the US will get you RDMs. Good argument, bro.

Go back to the Delta forum, as you know nothing about AA's program. You misread one comment on a blog and have completely ignored every other piece of information available.

Once again: YOU WILL NOT GET EQM FOR EY CODED AA METAL FLIGHTS.

Earlier, you specifically stated that you would receive EQM for flying an EY ticket on AA metal, which is not true. I linked to the thread because you were wrong, and this has been known since at least 2011, as shown in the linked thread.

What I did was refute your argument. Now, you appear to have changed your argument, such that you have made no claim about EQM's crediting to AA.

skunker is correct; for an EY ticket on AA metal, you will receive RDM's but not EQM's. It's what Gary says (although, srsly, you're being a little too deferential to his non-existent authority over the programs), it's what the AA website says, it's what this thread says, and it's what the thread from 2011 says.

Thanks for this warning! I checked both mine and my partner's Eticket and confirmed they look correct (ORD-DUB-AUH-CDG-ORD). I hope this mean everything has is correct on Etihad's side as well.

I called up Etihad, but the operator was reluctant to do anything; according to him, there might be some more changes within a couple of days. I had a question - was anyone else successful moving their entire itinerary a day earlier? I booked a flight leaving from Manila a couple of weeks ago, and won't be able to make it with this new schedule.

Try PL first and no fee. They even offered to change my outbound from the 2:40AM flight to 10:45AM... but arriving at JFK at 4:05PM? No, thanks.

I did this change - the 2am flight is operated by Jet Airways with their crew - I certainly don't want to be on a Jet Airways plane being served Indian food. So, I switched to EY 101 that arrives at 4:30pm - what's wrong about that? You arrive pre-cleared, so no long immigration lines - you pick up your bag(s) and leave the airport. EY 103 that leaves at 2am arrives at 8:40am - unless you're flying in a premium class (which you shouldn't be as this was an Economy fare sale) - after a 15-hour flight to end up in NYC in the morning and having to potentially go to work or do something else until the evening before you can get some rest or sleep is certainly not what I would do.

Ha - that's funny. I switched onto the 2am flight so I could sleep the entire flight after a connection from Kathmandu. To each his own, I guess!

Having to get from JFK to southern NJ is no fun during the evening. I lived in Jersey City and have made that drive a few times and it's a mess. I'll be off that day and can sleep on the flight so neither of those are a big deal. I'd just rather not have to deal with the tunnels and bridges at rush.

Do you know anything about Jet Airways? or are you making wild assumptions based on the countries involved? Jet is partially owned by Etihad. Some people find Jet coach seats *more* comfortable than Etihad's.
The comment about Indian food is just weird. If the food in coach is what you're making your mistake fare bookings based on, I'm at a loss.

You are clearly displaying an astonishing amount ignorance about this forum and especially this forum/group.

Your opinion regarding non-stop flights certainly in line with the general population (in the real world). I suspect that since you have been on this forum for less than a month, you may not fully understand how we see things and why we do stuff.
The idea of a mileage run is to earn miles, not go on vacation. Numerous people do MRs where they don't even leave the airport.

And yes, flying an MR non-stop is amateurish.
Going non-stop to CUN for your beach vacation is smart
