Darn I didn't go on FT after 9 PM last night. Would have loved to taken my wife on vacation for our anniversity in Jan. Thanks anyway OP.
LMAO just told my wife and she said no more sleeping. She loves to travel as much as I do and South America and Middle East were about the only places we haven't been. Ok maybe some countries in Europe too. But not interested in Middle East right now. lol

Just an FYI: there have been 2 high profile cases of LAN passengers flying GIG/EZE to MEX via LIM in which their checked luggage has been switched out at LIM with luggage loaded with cocaine.
http://www.mexicogulfreporter.com/20...-for-drug.html
It happened to a Mexican schoolteacher earlier this year and a PwC accountant this past weekend. Same pattern: flying LAN from deep South America, connecting in LIM with final destination MEX.
I'm sure we're all pretty sophisticated travelers but maybe avoid checking in luggage if connecting on LAN through LIM en-route to MEX.
Thanks OP for the deal!

If I'm reading this right:
http://www.alaskaair.com/content/mil...tners/lan.aspx
Most of the LAN-operated flights credit at 100% to Alaska Airlines. The only exceptions appear to be wholly-domestic flights within Chile and Argentina.
The AeroMexico codeshares will not accrue, and I even have some LAN Peru operated flights in/out of MEX with flight numbers that fall outside of the allowed ranges so YMMV. Check the AS website.

not sure, that LIM-EZE might be at 25%, but not 100% sure...
Technically, it's Other International and Within South America at the same time...
