Emirates is offering return in J from the UK to various S.E. Asian cities for 1260 or so. it's a companion fare so two must travel together and you'll need to book via an agent, but with the weak GBP this is a decent price.

Book by mid-Feb, valid to end October.

Unfortunately I do not know anyone in WONderland. Do you have a contact TA? I am not even trying to guess what __N means (the other post) as it could be a country or a city.

I think you had asked for lowest priced places to start *A products. It's no secret, even though people here would have you believe it is, that with the devaluation of the Koean currency that that has been the best place to issue RTWs for a while. It's moderated out a bit (and for all I know the airlines have adjusted the underlying fare in KRW, I dont know b/c I have investigated that recently). It's until last August been sub 1000KRW to the USD, now it's up above 1300KRW to USD, and historically the RTWs ex-Korea were already a bit cheaper compared to other countries for some reason. There is a thread in the Star Alliance forum that provides more details on ex-ICN tix, just head over there and you will find links to the online tool and the experiences of some using the local UA offices for issuance.

This is a great deal. I hear if you fly ANA, you only get 70% of the miles on United MP, do you know if this is true?

Well, you get 70% of actual miles only when you fly discounted (non-Y) coach class. If you fly Business Class, you will get 100% miles plus 25% bonus on Unted Mileage Plus.

BKK-JFK $3600 r/t (J); $5299 (F)

Pretty good fare on Air India. Take TG to India, then AI's 77L to JFK. Lie flat seats in biz (flat for most of the seat, slight incline around the end of the seat) and suites in F. AI seems to be a bit of Jekyll and Hyde airline, but the 77L service seems very positive with pajamas in J, Bose headsets, etc. On the return, CX's new biz from India to BKK. The F product looks a lot like JL's 77W suite, with 23 inch TV and wide beds, 8 seats on the plane. Book later in 2009 to credit to * Alliance when AI joins.

Bookable on orbitz.

Regrettably, no en route stop allowed in India

Business and First Class sale ex London

Most airlines have started a business and first class sale ex London.

Travel period:01APR09-30SEP09 ex London
Max stay:Varies by airline, from 1 month to 12 months
Ticketing period:Fares will expire 27JAN09
Changes/Refunds:Most fares are non-refundable, some do not even allow for changes at all

But... decent prices:

LON-NYC from GBP 799++ in Biz or 1799++ in First
LON-MIA from GBP 1099++ in Biz or 2099++ in First
LON-LAX form GBP 1359++ in Biz or 2359++ in First
Other city pairs available as well.

Sample fare: I priced out London-New York at 1305 EUR all-in on Lufthansa in Business
