You may want to check out the Acapulco Forum on Tripadvisor. I have been hanging out there since I booked this fare and I have picked up a lot of valuable info. I'm thinking of booking the Fiesta Inn. Comes highly rated as a good bang for your buck.

just wondering, anyone know if this would be eligible for ff miles since it's a $0 fare? (if so I wish I had booked every weekend through winter )

Based on reading their rules I have concluded that it will.

Q fares to Mexico (which these fares booked into) earn miles, irrespective of the cost.

I would say the assumption is that it will earn miles; probably a lot of unhappy people if they don't, me included. Also, I think there was a minimum stay or day of week travel restriction so every weekend would have to be a 4day one, which certainly isn't bad but for me, kinda tough to do every weekend.

I still love the conversation the next week when you get back:

"Oh so how was your weekend?"
"Not bad I watched some movies and saw the game, man the Pats are doing awful this year...How about you?"
"I went to Ireland"

I know accommodating multiple weekends would be a hassle, but it's fun to dream really I'm just longing for my college days when I could easily up and go without obligations (class? you mean it's not optional?) - alas, I wasn't an FT addict until the tail end of school

Well, I wish I had known about FT when I was in school; especially that semester I managed to schedule all of my classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Could have used those long weekends for studying on flights. (instead of the library )

Anyway, for the first person going to ACA, can a post be provided to confirm miles do actually post?

Has anyone flown yet? I need to get a hotel booked, but wanted to wait 'til we know for sure this deal is good.

Also, are we supposed to get paper tickets? The notation on my credit card bill led me to think we should get paper tickets, and I haven't yet.

Mine looks like an e-ticket. What type of info has you thinking its a paper ticket?

This will be good as gold if you're ticketed AA is a respectable airline. If you have a ticket number they will honor it. ^

Yes, tickets should be fine, it's not as if you booked them on Expedia or something.

Just in case, the last time I passed through the airport, I got AA to print out an e-ticket itinerary and receipt and will bring with me to check in, along with my sunscreen and sunglasses.
