Has anyone noticed that these trips involve a 7+ hour transoceanic flight on a 737 ?

still on travelocity

Visit travelocity and do a FLEXIBLE SEARCH from BOS to MAD. Plenty of dates are still available. I'm looking at 9/14-9/20 and there is availability. 186.75 all together.

I'm surprised they fly a 737 from EWR to MAD!

In a situation like this, can you first board in ewr and skip the bos to ewr connection, and same for the return trip??

Yeah, I noticed that. At first I couldn't believe a 737 (even with winglets) could go that far. But its definitely a 777, as is obvious by trying to book a flight on Continental.

And that no meal is served

CO.com does show it as a 777-200ER

Wonder if I can use miles to upgrade this

Yikes!

I noticed that the return flight is listed as a 777. Talk about going from one extreme to the other.

Yup, it's still there on travelocity. But the dates are really slim. Tried pulling up other dates on other sites but no luck.

Just booked my first MR EVER!! I cannot believe I just did this

Booked on travelocity.com at 1:25PM CST for BOS - MAD same itinerary as PHLbuddy for 2 people. Website still shows many dates open in May and then lots in Sept - Oct

This is so exciting but now that I have booked it I dont know what to do :P

On a side note, now I just have to get to BOS from AUS
