I am teetering on the edge of whether I should do this or not...literally gotten to the submit page multiple times but haven't pulled the trigger!
What are the chances as Gold that I will get upgraded from a "K" fare? Or given a deal to upgrade with points or cash?
I obviously don't travel internationally a lot, so this might be a dumb question...

UA doesn't do CPUs for international flights, so your only options to fly in business are paid/miles/instruments.

Miles+cash or GPU are the only choices. 30,000 miles + $600 co-pay each way.

I'd put the chances at 50/50 as a Gold depending on the day of the week with Tues/Wed/Thurs your best odds.

SIN is always a tough upgrade as there are many company paid biz fares. If you've never been though I would still go even in E+ as it's worth the experience.

On a $400 fare, $1200 round-trip and 60,000 miles for an upgrade is a little steep in my opinion. If you value your UA miles at .02 cents each we're talking $2400 round-trip. I wonder if a P fare would be even less… when booking these killer fares I fly coach. However, the MS folks love those upgrades…

Gonna be a long 48 hours!

Can you guys flying this tomorrow let me know thoughts on E+ bulkhead (row 16), regular e+, and Exit (row 27)? My flight zeroed out and it looks like my ug won't clear. I have one seat on bulkhead and one exit row, but am a little leery about the bulkhead (I'm 6"1).

Looks like we'll be on the same flights!
