Fare must be booked on/by tomorrow, January 20th. Departures through March 31st on outbound transatlantic. Minimum stay is inbound can commence no earlier than first Sunday after outbound transatlantic. But leaving Friday, you gain two days, so for the true mileage runners out there, you could hop on the return that Sunday when you arrive.
Best routing I could find was some zigzagging within Europe (long layovers possible, like AMS-WAW-CDG for a 7h layover in WAW), as well as returning via ATL or JFK on DL. Can push the cpMQM down to 4.5-4.6 range. Most direct is LAX-CDG-(7h layover)-MRU-CDG-(4h layover)-LAX. While a bit steep at 4.7cpMQM, the price is typically higher due to its remoteness, roughly $1,800-$2,000. The flight is essentially the antipode of LAX.
Books into V/L class, 25% base miles, 100% MQM, 5% on flown mileage EQD on DL.
The fare some interesting quirks which might be able to be exploited:
Watch out for Air Mauritius metal -- they are not a SkyTeam member, so they won't earn anything with the AF marketed flight.
TK has a fare for $1,012, again don't know about mileage accrual. LH/OS has ones at around $1,100.

- You can add a hop to RUN (Reunion, France) for about $100 more, but it's only a layover of 10 hours. You fly RUN-ORY, one of the longest "domestic" flights, as Reunion is an overseas dependency of France.
- Some weird fares pop up for $749 (Mar 9-12) for a flight to Heathrow on NZ, and a flight back from Paris on Air Tahiti Nui, AF flights filling in the rest.
- Another weird fare is a $899 one that somehow tickets NZ 1 (LHR-LAX), as well as a Air Mauritius flight and Air France flights together. Not sure about mileage, though.

This is the kind of trip I might have made room to do in the days before airlines gutted RDMs. Need some kind of sweetener like the fat trimmed to offset (could be a final exam in booking class to do that + pad in stopovers )

In any case, I doubt I'll find a way to this area of the world anytime soon, which is why I wanted to jump on it. Reminds me a bit of the Madagascar fares found a year or so ago on Air Kenya.
