$583 from SFO. Route is SFO-DFW-HKG-PEK-DFW-SFO, with PEK-DFW on the 787.

A better deal than ex-ORD, ex-SFO @ 3.23 cpm.

Willacox, you don't need to stay so many nights. There are options for 1 night PEK, one night HKG, or even 0 nights PEK if you wish.

Its a pity, though, that the fare class doesn't work with the double miles to asia promo.

$583 is possible for many dates I looked at, must be for travel before end of the year.

12/2: SFW-DFW-HKG
12/9: HKG-PEK
12/9: PEK-DFW-SFO

Via AA.com the booking has some problems with the HKG-PEK leg and some combinations will error out, some will work. I was able to do an OJ without the HKG-PEK segment for $575 and since all flights are AA you are then able to use the 24-hour hold feature.

It also works from SFO-HKG / PVG-SFO ($540'ish) if you don't include the HKG-PVG connector. Also works from/to SEA ($530'ish).

They don't seem to be coming up on google flights any more, but if you go to AA.com and select Multi-City:

SEA-HKG on Nov 4 and PVG-SEA on Nov 11, for example, returns several options for $533 and $538.

Tempting! Already booked all my MRs for the rest of the year. Although a SWU might work out of PEK... it's still too long in eco to HKG!

When I was checking this route a week ago the HKG-PEK leg was coming up in Dragon Air not on an AA code and would earn no mileage.

Are you suuuuuuure?

Dragonair is just a subsidiary of CX and earns as such. (see: http://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/ea...hayPacific.jsp )

Though I haven't seen any fares with a booking code that will actually earn.

No Mileage Credit: K, M, L, V, Q, S, G, N
