Via AA.com the booking has some problems with the HKG-PEK leg and some combinations will error out, some will work. I was able to do an OJ without the HKG-PEK segment for $575 and since all flights are AA you are then able to use the 24-hour hold feature.

They don't seem to be coming up on google flights any more, but if you go to AA.com and select Multi-City:
SEA-HKG on Nov 4 and PVG-SEA on Nov 11, for example, returns several options for $533 and $538.

When I was checking this route a week ago the HKG-PEK leg was coming up in Dragon Air not on an AA code and would earn no mileage.
